Dear readers: I will take a break for a couple of days or weeks before I start the introduction to my new CJ. Be there when it opens its doors for signing up!!! But for the moment preparations are in full swing and a lot of stuff has to be done before the ultimate release! So... please be patient!

MayorTim: I can't describe how sad I am myself, but some desicions had to be made. The region was ruined due to an error, and besides that, I didn't think the storyline and updates of the last weeks were high quality enough, so.... time for something new! Yo

Oh noooo! New Holland is gone!8.gif But thanks Utora for creating such a fantastic journal for us to read. Your city-building skills are very impressive. How I wish I had your skills. lol. I also appreciated it when you added me as a charater in your journal. In fact, I enjoyed it so much, I would like to become a character in the your next journal too16.gif. New Holland has been a source of inspiration for me too. I hope your new journal will be as action-packed and beautiful as the New Holland or even better. 29.gif Looking forward to it utora!35.gif

Thank you43.gif! Oh, and what a sad, but spectacular end of New Holland. Well it's sad that it's gone8.gif. But it's maybe a good thing. I think there were a lot of characters (members) that were not active the last few months. And the new cj will be even better, i think, because you have a lot of experience now. And i must thank you for this incredible good cj. I really enjoyed reading every part of it. The story was soooo good. Well anyway, see you in a couple of days/weeks in your new CJ. And i will certainly sign me up. Thank you and i wish you all the luck for your new CJ.

I am sorry to read that you have to stop this journal, it has been one of the few that I have been following every time I log on to simtropolis.
Good luck with the next one.

Thanks a lot for the compliments!! I quit the journal because it just didn't felt and looked right  anymore. The looks of it were just too outdated... Currently I'm working hard on my new cj, but it will take some time form it to hit Simtrop, I want everything to be prepared much better!

I can't resist the temptation to present a teaser pic:

Oooh shoot. That's what happens when you keep away for just a few months. One moment everything's fine, the next, an entire country is nuked!  Including a relative of mine. What a shame, he was such a clever young man, with such a promising political career (boohoo!). May he rest in peace. But at least we enjoyed the pictures -- all those fires, that explosion, that was hot -- heehee!

Well, Utora. I enjoyed this journal. Despite its violent end, though it did come a bit too sudden. I wonder who's on that stolen spaceship.

    Announcement:
I'm sorry to tell this, but the start of my new journal is delayed much, due to a terrible hardware problem. My harddisk is damaged, so I'll have to buy a new one; I also need a new monitor; besides that, there is a couple of other problems to be solved, but unfortunately I have not enough cash at the moment.... At least I'm very lucky to have made a backup of the new region, but I can't work on it as you understand.
As for New Holland, and the wrong pictures on the first page, well, there's a problem with other pics somewhere on Simtrop which have the exact same names (probably pic1 or something), which is why they have accidentally been replaced. Since I can't use my harddrive anymore, this means I can't post the original pics again, and the whole New Holland region, the story and everything is now gone forever....
New Holland now exists only virtually on this site.
Hope I've informed you sufficiently. It may take a long time for me to show up with something new, but I definitely will, in the end. Sorry for this mess, but I'm working on it.
    Cheerz, and take care everyone!

2s: hope you read this, sorry for my late answer. In the picture there are actually several mods used. The water is done with the Pegasus Brigantine Water texture; the mountains are done with the Pegasus Grey Rock Mod (part of Peg's Rockmod 1), and with the snowcapped-mod; the trees are done with a mod that only creates pine-trees (but I'm not sure if it's still available; heck... we've got better treemods now with Cycledog's mod 9.gif) Finally the beaches are done with the grey-rocky beach (I don't know where I got that mod from, maybe someone else knows..)
Except for the treemod, and the beachmod, all the other mods are available on the STEX

ah, i'm terribly sorry to hear about that, utora. that stinks, big time. wish i could help you out...but i think the only extra harddrive i have is a seven year old 8 gig harddrive...i don't even know if anything that small would work anymore!
hopefully your hardware problems will get corrected. methinks i should start backing up my own regions more often.
