But i have a question: Where do I get this great looking water mod? Can you give me a link?
I looked here, at simtropolis, but i didn't find it!

EDIT: ok, i found it 1.gif

spectacular little city journal, utora - i remember the map from when you asked earlier if it was good enough for a journal...i think it is, and more. the journal looks great, and your story telling techniques are superb. i've thought of using the water mod you're using a couple times, but could never find it to look right - looks like you did. keep up the great work.

    I still love the story.
BTW, where can I find that neat little church I saw? Could find it (or didn't search well) on the STEX.

It's St. Mary's church. I think you can find it in the Landmarks-section of the STEX; it's definitely there

Anyways, The next update is coming soon!!

Lutjemark: about the names: I had some moments of inspiration I guess, btw Lutjemark would be an excellent name for a town too2.gif

Thank you all for the positive reactions! And, it's fun to see so many Dutchies out there! Cheerz

When Paul arrived in Nederburg aan de Messel (transl Nederburg on the Messel), he quickly ran from house to house to spread the news. Within moments the church-bell was sounding through the town. Nederburg was a cosy community on the banks of the Messel, and prospered because of good farming conditions. Already the first windmill was built to regulate the irrigation of the farmlands. Courier provided some pics:

I knew someone was gonna ask about that; on the STEX there's a PEG texture-pack available (just type PEG in the search engine). Since I don't have any PEG-lots I had to think of something else. With the lot-editor I placed the base-textures on a custom1x1 lot

wow, utora, nice job on the dikes!
i've been planning on trying something like that myself - i don't believe i've seen it done before. of course, seeing Ludlear got hit with a flood as well in my TimeBomb journal, i'm thinking the timing is right.
the dikes really play well with your stream, canal and windmill set-up. superb job.

Indeed, I created it myself! When the region becomes more densely populated, an my cj  more developped, I promise I'll put it on the MEX

Thank you all for al those fantastic replies! I never thought I'd get such positive comments!!

Btw, the next updates will take some time. I have to study for a very important exam by the end of August; but please be patient! I'm just getting started...

This is my 100th post, and for my hundredth post I wanted to post here. This city journal is great. I can't wait until this region gets onto the MEX because it's great. Also I can't wait for the region to develop!
