Found this in the SimCity 4 Deluxe Manual:

The entire manual is so over-saturated with puns, jokes, and attempted wit that it gets old pretty fast.  But it would have been a good read for the SC2013 dev team.

The manual was good for one read. It doesn't last though.

 

Of course it beats the manual for Simcity 2013, which consists of thin air.

I'll take those kind of manuals over on what EA dishes out today Those manuals have character, the new ones are more like flyers with as one member at the official forum pointed out, has instructions telling you on how to insert a disc on a tray XD

That appears to be page 26 of the rush hour manual, which I still have.  If your copy says Deluxe, it has simply been reskinned.  I haven't opened those pamphlets in over 10 years until this moment.

It actually has a few useful bits in it--especially charts.  I'm sure the Prima Guide does a much better job though.  I'll have to get one of those one day.  One day when I'm not saving every piece of lint for college.
