I would like to congratulate the winners who participated and walked away with DLC codes who may not had the opportunity to get the codes otherwise.

(This is an exclusive Simtropolis Free giveaway for Simtropolis members)
 
 
I have a friend who is a Rep for Crest. He has agreed to work with me to provide free Crest DLC Park codes
 
for Simtropolis members to have a chance to grab a free code for those who live outside US or for those in US where code in not available.
 
 

Round Instructions
 
 
To offer everybody a fair opportunity for a grab, 6 (six) codes will be given away every couple of days at varying times of the day
 
(morning, noon, and night) to allow for those on different time zones to respond or have a chance to get a grab.
 
When the round giveaway for that day begins, Code 'UFG' (Up For Grabs) will be listed under the current round being played. 
 
When you see the Code 'UFG' under the current round playing, be one of the first of six people to PM me and you will win the free code.
 
If the round is not currently playing with Code 'UFG' listed, please do not PM asking for a code. Codes are only issued during active rounds.

Crest rep explains why Crest DLC was only issued in USA-

 

Hope this clears everyone's question on the Crest DLC why it was done like it was.

 

Crest Rep-

 

" The SimCity Crest DLC Parks was an idea created by all the company's advertising gurus, Walmart, USA Division, and Target USA Division, Maxis, EA long before SimCity was completed. The reason the pack

 

was not extended outside the US was because of different overseas regulations and rules regarding promotions, contests, free giveaways on commercial products, media marketing and advertising. It simply was

 

not cost efficient for all the companies involved to carry the pack worldwide."

 

 

The short answer- The pack was only worth a certain amount of money = cheaper cost is better than higher cost and not being able to make their money back off the promotions to equal the cost they put into the pack!   

 

Hope this answers a lot questions about why the pack was distributed like it was.

 

 

Its' still not fair to only give access to US gamers to Sim City Content that should be made avail to everyone that owns the game regardless of location, so lets change those stats and try to

 

give away as many free codes as possible here on Simtropolis

At my Walmart all the stickers have been pulled off, I couldn't find one toothpaste box with one.  I think someone is going to sell them on craigslist.  Too bad, I was really looking forward for the DLC.

Gah! I live and work in Afghanistan and had this page up to try and catch the June 16th round. We're 8.5 hours ahead here. I was all set and the freaking Internet went down!!!  It's a common occurrence here so I'm used to it - although it does make playing a bit frustrating sometimes due to disconnects.

 

I'll try again on the next one you offer at noon, since that works out nicely for me - it's night time here when it's noon there!

 

Hmm, wonder if the military bases here sell Crest products in their little shops...

I bought crest's product in other country because I didn't know I should buy that in US.

So I paid for wrong thing and didn't get code. When I contacted EA live chat, they said that they cannot give code because I bought in other country.

Anyway I finally found this page just now and I'm going to participate in this event soon.
