Non SC4 music playing...

Hello all.

I just reinstalled SC4 on my new laptop, ACER Aspire V3 771G-6851 with a NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M Graphics card. A few minutes into the game, "We Will Rock You" will start to play, then another song, then another. The music is clicked OFF, yet this continues to play. The only other program I downloaded was SimCity Launcher, which I uninstalled. I uninstaled the game as well, then reintalled it, but the music keeps coming back. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, this lot is known to (intentionally) play some Queen songs. The actual file is named JENXPROP_Concert.dat , so try searching for this in your plugins folder.

One option would be to bulldoze any instances of the lot in your cities, and then remove it from your plugins folder.

 

If you'd like to keep the lot, and just remove the music, you'll need to open the lot using the Lot Editor, and remove the prop named "Freddy". If you like, he can then be replaced with a standard Maxis "Sim" prop.

That was it, found the file is named JENXPROP_Concert.dat.
