bsc textures in B.A.T.

How can I get access to the bsc textures in the bat program? all I get are the maxis textures. I have the bcs mega .dat file in my plugins for my downloaded buildings already.

Download ilive's reader (available somewhere at sc4devotion.com i think), open the bsc files, select the texture you want, and right click on it, and try and find an option for exporting it. 

 

The textures are made to be used by the game for lots/used with the lot editor.  But they are still images, and you can export them to get them in a separate, normal file format, which you can then use in the BAT.

Thanks. I got the fishman program to open the fsh. but it keeps getting parameter errors. would I have to go through all this to get access to just the in game textures?

I don't remember enough about the process to help you with errors, but yeah, to get the ingame textures you'd have to go through that process.

 

But only a handful of those textures would be useful anyway.  A few of the pavers, grass, and roads maybe.

 

Come to think of it I think SimFox has an upload on the STEX that has a bunch of maxis textures.
