No lights?

I downloaded and installed the update from simtropolis but I still ahve no lights.

Actually here is what it says.

I used hdorriker's skatepark as a test lot because it has no dependencies and should be illuminated.

I provided power to the lot.

 

Was it patched corrrectly?

Best way to know if the patch is successful is to hover your mouse on the sim city 4 .exe.located in the sim city 4 deluxe folder. If you read 1.1.640, you're good

The patch hosted here is the main EP1 update, which is different from the nightlights one. To check EP1 was successful, confirm that your game is now version 1.1.638.0 . If it is, you can then download and install the nightlights update from here, which should take your game to a fully-patched 1.1.640.0 .

 

In game, for nightlights to show, it can sometimes help to quickly cycle between day and night. Also, make sure the lot has an adequate amount of power. Depending on the requirements, a single windmill may not provide enough power output.

T To check EP1 was successful, confirm that your game is now version 1.1.638.0 . If it is, you can then download and install the nightlights update from here, which should take your game to a fully-patched 1.1.640.0 .
