easy way to save?

Just spent over 2 hours demolishing, planning and rebuilding all the transport and facilities for a tourist city i want to try.

Got everything ready before I even placed a single zone. Clicked the zone tool ... crash!

No rollback needed, because my city hasnt saved at all. Its like it was before I even started!

Wondering if there is an easy way to force it to save?

Sometimes if I logout it doesn't even save, so I wouldn't call that an option either.

Strange. Whenever I quit, the game 'syncs' itself to the server most of the time. I always thought that its more of a 'now saving your game to our servers' than 'syncing' XD

I always make it a habit to go back to the Main menu first before quitting the game. And after that the syncing kicks in. See if that helps.

yep, biggest problem for me. Honestly I almost stop playing the game because of that. Too many rollback during a session and too many times I have quit the game one day and started the next one with my city in a previous state. It's just too frustrating, and I don't even see the point in launching the game now... yeah, this "MMO thing" was a great idea.

Another reply.

Exit to Main Menu. Press quit game.

DO NOT PRESS THE QUIT BUTTON ON THE DIALOG WHEN IT SAYS IT SYNCS THE CITY.

It will close the game automatically.

    lol! it gets better!

after my 2 hours wasted i spent another few and built up a pretty unsuccessful tourist city. traffic was good tho. I was getting 250k visitors somehow, but strangely if i ran a stadium event only 20 people would show up ;)

anyway, logged in just now to see what i could do about that, and its all gone.

in fact its gone soo far backwards its gone back to the previous city, right at the point where i said i clicked the zone tool and lost it all!

just got a rollback, so maybe its finally realized something has gone wrong.

now im back right at the beginning before i started. now to demolish the city a third time!
