I'd like to know if there is any way to make GLR Avenue connection between two cities? There is draggable GLR line, but it's not for avenues or streets so is there any way to send trams between the cities?

Recently discussed in another thread.  Not directly.  You need to take your GLR off the avenue and make a separate neighbour connection then get back on in the new city.

The GLR connection has to be outside the avenue.

I am making a video just for you!  It is compiling right now and after I will upload it to Youtube, It is made on movie maker, so it is cheap but I needed to make it fast as possible.

    The Video:http://youtu.be/lD3CXFfxr7M

This is the same technique found years and years ago to split maxis highways and put elevated rail inside of it and do other things with it too of course.  Apparently the same thing can be done with avenues just like with maxis highways.

    I hope you enjoy!

Edit:  This is a fail technique, it does not work.  Enjoy this video for all of it's failness. :)

Posted video in my post above in an edit.

Tried it out, it doesn't work.

And this is the funny thing about NCs. Sims don't want to take a different NC to return home, sims prefer to re-enter the same NC that they exited from.

Chopping up an Avenue NC like that would effectively break the original NC and render it useless. So the best way to ensure proper NC functionality is to do something like this:

Or follow the original solution that I posted weeks ago...

Even if the NC doesn't work, I'm pretty stoked about being able to split avenues like that and yet keep the Median garnish with a space in between. I've been wanted to do Elevated rail(raised not tram) in between avenue for awhile, and having to fake it with 1 way streets wasn't quite the same.

This makes me sad.  I should have run the simulation first.  Indeed this does not work.  If you are to replace the end of the avenue with one way roads and normal roads you might as well just run with the solutions in the other thread.  I see no point in splitting the avenue if this method does not work.  better to use the GLR to subway transition and just bring it back up on the other side.

I really wanted this to work, and still see no reason why it doesn't.  They won't even leave nor make an attempt to leave.  They just see it as a dead end.  This makes me sad.

I am going to crawl into a hole somewhere now.(jk)
