A lot depends on your computer and graphic processor. But i did use a new mod i downloaded from here thats a startup mod where you select display mode etc when starting up the game. I am not at my computer at the moment but will post the link later if no one else has before then

Your english is better than my french. ;)   The graphics are hard coded into the game.  You can only change the settings provided in the game.  Like SimRico stated a lot depends on your computer and grapich processer.

The system is fine. If with "make graphics better" you mean stuff like anti-aliasing, you are out of luck. However, on a big monitor, the game looks quite good without that. I'm not sure whether you know, but you can add start-up parameters to your game shortcut, like these for a 1080p widescreen monitor (adjust for your own monitor):

    -CustomResolution:Enabled -r1920x1080x32

If you already did that, you are about as far as you can get.

You can use some texture mods and use buildings and props that are rendered in HD (tree controllers, terrain mods, water mods, mountain textures). Most of these mods require the game to be set to hardware rendering (in the ingame graphics settings).

Actually, on my machine the game runs best on software rendering.  My Machine.

When I get a version of the wine layer that allows me to run hardware (not for long) it doesn't appear to be any better.

The only mods I know that improve graphics (in some way) are: Maxis Tree Replacement Mod, Simfox Day and Nite Mod and Uniform Street Lightning Mod.
