    First and foremost

    Welcome to Page Three!

Here's another update (so quick ain't I...) and I'll cover Uranium Waterway (or Waterway for short) and Uranium Locks, plus as an added bonus, an update of Lithium City, which as of tonight has surpassed Argonia as the number one city in population.

    But first Uranium Locks.

    UraniumLocks-Sep2021092871028.jpg alt=Im

Uranium Locks is due south of Uranium Waterway and north of Iridium Port. Most residents work in Iridium Port as it is all industrial there. The Locks were possible with the advent of the canal lock system developed by Silentbreaker (special thanks for creating it) and of course Oppie's canals. The Lithium Canal travels up north to the Waterway and then branches off to the east.

So here is Uranium Waterway. It is primarly residential.

    UraniumWaterway-Nov15251093150455.jpg al

Notice all the rowhouses in Waterway.

    A closeup of the canal.

    UraniumWaterway-Nov15251093150480.jpg al

Now an overview of Northwest Lithium County. The map showing Lithium City in the corner was created before Lithium City was worked on.

    Northwest_LC.jpg alt=Image Hosted by Ima

Now to Lithium City, the seat of Lithium County, and now the largest city in Lithium County, with 283,743 residents, 130,166 commercial jobs, and 10,811 industrial jobs. The overall population of Lithium County now stands at 1,412,977.

    LithiumCity-Jan15181093162567.jpg alt=Im

Notice all the commercial buildings to sprout up as I waited for 16 years, that's how long it took to get to this stage, at it's not even close to finished. Urban sprawl reached out to the north, bordering the area around Bohr Hill but never penetrating the hill itself. Recently the city council is Lithium City voted to make Bohr Hill a Forest Preserve. Only the interstate highway runs over the hill. The airport also had to upgrade itself and I'm not currently planning to expand it with custom pieces as that might drain the city's funds like Bromine Bay's were.

Here's LC as we zoom in. How complicated it all becomes.

    LithiumCity-Jan15181093162420.jpg alt=Im

And that's another update from Riff (aka Steve). Page 3 bring it on...

When Ekroe Publishing decided to open a plant in Lithium County, they went right to work on a first edition. Here's what they came up with.

    lithium_county_times.jpg alt=Image Hoste

The Lithium County Times are based out of Lithium City. Pictures of Ekroe in Lithium City will be shown soon.

Dudy, didn't you see the weather column? Ok so it was just temperatures but I haven't reached the ability to create little clouds and balls of sunshine.

Btw, here's Ekroe Publishing finally established in Lithium City, from where this newspaper edition was printed, 500,000 times over...

    LithiumCity-Aug16181093255719.jpg alt=Im

And while I'm at it, here's Jawood's Splash Point water park located in Urania, now two pieces are one and more will come from him soon.

    Ok, guess what, another update!

I have pics of Southeast Lithium County, including Oxydelphia, Rutherford, Butane Butte, Lanthanoid Hill, and Helios.

    Here's the overview of SELC.

    LC-Southeast.jpg alt=Image Hosted by Ima

Closeup overview of Oxydelphia, including Brookline, Tungsten, Dioxide, Dioxide Landfill, and Oxygen Row.

    Oxydelphia-Feb23331093254093.jpg alt=Ima

Closeup overview of Rutherford, including Micron and Micron Bay.

    Rutherford-Oct15131093271510.jpg alt=Ima

Butane Butte is a new area, mainly rural with a distinct feature that juts up from the ground.

    ButaneButte-Feb28011093279165.jpg alt=Im

South of the Butte is Lanthanoid Hill, site of the Lanthanoid Mines where many rare-earth elements have been found.

    LanthanoidHill-Nov2001093280621.jpg alt=

Finally, Helios, one of the larger cities. Helios got its Greek inspired name from the immigrants that set up their huts there centuries ago. Eventually the huts became permanent and a town starting growing. Now Helios is on trades with Rutherford and Astatine, leaking the remainder of the real world. Note that the Helians like a quick route out of town.

    Helios-Aug29041093281429.jpg alt=Image H

Also notice in the upper right hand corner, Mt. Helios looms over the town, as if the gods were watching...

Another update: this time Vanadium Port.

    Vanadium_Port_Final.jpg alt=Image Hosted

Vanadium Port is located in between Bromine Bay and Oxydelphia, and is another entrance to the Indium Ocean.

Here's the new Car/Passenger Ferry Terminal on the north side of Gravity Island. Bridge traffic is starting to become a standstill, so this will help immensely with all the traffic surging into the island.

Also a quick edit on the entrance to the Gravity Island Car/Passenger Ferry Terminal. The avenues were redesigned to force more people into the terminal. Also a bridge from Meitner Peninsula to Gravity Island was built, but it is only a two laner.

Tis' a solid region yes, but am I the only one who finds it amusing that you've named your region after a rather potent anti-depressant?

exgamer07: It's not a dig mod but a hole digger downloadable from the STEX.

Merkinball: Yes, I was thinking the same thing. Lithium is an antidepressant and someone asked if this was a tribute to Kurt Cobain. Unfortunately it's not a tribute to him, and I would have run out of names early on. I merely used Lithium as a starting element for the entire county. It's near the top of the periodic table but sounds better than Hydrogen County. Plus the main city is named Lithium City. I just think Lithium was the best elemental name for the county and city. The other elements show up in various cities, towns, suburbs, and industrial areas. I have almost used all of them in one way or another.

Also names of scientists, chemicals, and other facets of science show up in the names of things.

Wow... this region is fabulous! Can't believe I missed it earlier on. I really like the way you scatter cities all over the region, sooner or later it's going to become one huge megalopolis!
The names of the cities are very original, I especially like Titanium Springs and Ironborough. It's great to see that you're even drawing names from Greek mythology... keep up the great work! 44.gif

Hello People of ST. I am going to try to bring this city journal back. I was not as successful with BATting, so this will be my main focus after classes end. I hope I still have it saved.

Prepare for the return of Lithium County! 44.gif

Well it took 8 months to return but after the long break I am back with an update to the popular Lithium County.

Here are the first pics from today. I have downloaded the awesomely huge NephlonAristaArximia for use in Lithium City. Because LC took so much time to load, I did not take pics from inside the city due to already major slowdown (lag not a result of the building but the existing city).

I took a pic from region view to show the true nature of this building. It can be seen for tens of miles if not hundreds, and now I feel like these are the first steps to making a true Coruscanti landscape. 4.gif

    LithiumCounty-superskyscraper.jpg

Then another shot with slightly more detail.

    LithiumCounty-superskyscraper2.jpg

Did any notice that is a new city that has developed in the upper right hand corner of the first picture? That's the newly created Neptune City, named for the element Neptunium. Because the god from which Neptunium was named for is the god of the seas, I decided to make Neptune City surrounded by water. The downtown area is on a peninsula accessible by land from the west, and via bridges on the north, south, and east.

    LithiumCounty-NeptuneCity2.jpg

Neptune City also gets a portion of its water from Neptune Bay by desalinization. There is an industrial area southeast of the city known as Spearville. The reasoning for the name is that there are a few competing companies within the area that make spears and pitchforks for farm equipment. One owner, Philander Barstow, used the concept of the main city to spearhead his ideas, and invented a catchy name that people would remember.

Neptune City currently stands at a population of 23,730, bringing Lithium County's population to 1,932,406.

That's all for now. Hope I return sooner this time.

Now for a big update that will focus on Northern Lithium County extensively.

First a layout of the general area and how they are divided.

Note: Because of spacing constraints and other idiocy, Chlorine Crossing at the bottom of the image fits in between Isotopian Wilderness and Carbon Canyon. (I was wondering why they didn't seem to fit.)

    NorthernLithiumCounty3.jpg

Before talking about these little areas, I would like to show Tantulum Industry City just to the south.

    tantalum3.jpg

Tantulum Industry City, or TIC, is one the most congested and polluted places in Lithium County, matched only by Xenon Prime and Mercury Lake. It is powered by a new and mysterious technology known as a hypermatter annihilator, which gives plenty of power for the industrial city and its neighbors Lithium City and Chlorington. 2/3rds of Chlorington's 350,000 + population work in TIC, and as a result, the roads and avenues on the east side are a nightmare. A solution will soon be presented to the Tantulum City Board. TIC is also the location of the Rising Sun Oil Company which has a pipeline that runs through the city and into Chlorington.

Returning to the north, I will go from west to east starting with Tantulum Wilderness.

    TantalumWilderness.jpg

Tantulum Wilderness is just to the north of Tantalum Industry City, yet its residents do not wish to work in that pollution filled area. The people of the Wilderness in general like the outdoors and don't mind maybe one power plant or transmission tower.

The small town of Tantulum is dwarfed by two peaks, Tantalum Mount and Tantalus Mount. Old Man Crawford lives in the valley between the mountains, and every now and then comes out of his hermitage to go fishing up north.

As we go east, we encounter the strictly enforced laws of Isotope State Forest. You cannot even spit on the ground without being fined for littering. The residents of Tantalum know better than to go near it, but chuckle whenever out-of-towners get a ticket from the deputy for spitting out the window.

We then cross the town line of Isotope, situated on Lake Isotope, and surrounded by more forest. This is as desolate as anything gets. Again, do not spit in Isotope State Park, or they will throw you into the lake and watch you drown. Yes, nice little town.

    IsotopianWilderness1.jpg

After we exit the Wilderness area, we come across the great Chlorine River. From here one take boat downstream to such locales as Goldtown and Ironborough on the Radon River.

    ChlorineCrossing1.jpg

The town of Chlorine Crossing sits here, and is funded from the tolls made on the bridge. Looming over the town is Meitner Mound, a large upheaval of earth from the early Triassic era. It has been confirmed as a site for large dinosaur fossils, particularly the giant Simosaurus.

Continuing to the east we encounter the Carbon River turning into Carbon Canyon.

    CarbonCanyon1.jpg

Carbon Canyon used to be one giant mountain but was carved into two separate and distinct pieces, Carbon Peak and Aluminum Butte. It is also where Carbon Creek branches off and flows into the Chlorine at Neptune City. The very tall bridge crossing the expanse was first constructed in 1926, and reinforced with concrete in 1978.

Driving east down River Road, we come across a little island with a big dock. As its the only way off the island it is needed.

    CarbonIsland1.jpg

Carbon Island sits at a split of the Carbon River, the result of many particles being bunched together at a sand bar. It is known to have been inhabited as long as 400 years ago when natives roamed the land. Today, a few families live on the island and work at small shops where tourists buy gifts. To the north of the island is Tritium Ridge, the start of a continental divide which separates the two parts of the continent of which Lithium County belongs to.

Going east for the final time, the Carbon River curves south back towards the Chlorine at Fermi Ridge.

    FermiRidge1.jpg

Residents of the Town of Fermi Ridge are mostly farmers, and the main crop is soybeans. The town is powered by a steam plant in the valley.

Now you have seen the northern tier of Lithium County. Stay tuned for more updates.
