As the title says, another 'Show me your'-Thread. I'd like to see what the best population is you could reach yet inbetween ONE CITYBOUND.
Screens may be showed, too.

So here I go:

City's called 平和の都市 [Hei-wa-no-to-shi]

On EUW 3

Region 'WorldRecords'

Population: varies on about 375.000

Tell me your's population!

I didn't know you could build the Tokyo Tower in this game. Looks a little sad and short though.

All the large monuments have been scaled down, that's why I could never plop down the Empire State Building or the Sears Tower because they have been horribly scaled down.

Dear sir/madam/whoever will read this!

This profile is now defunct.

Computer problems and issues with accessing my Imageshack account meant My SC4 CJ Scrapbook was lost and utterly irretrievable. This setback put me off SC4 for many months.

Apologies for the inconvenience and for the lost pictures.

But that SC4 itch did not go away and it had to be scratched! I have started afresh with a new account here- The British Sausage

The URS is a spiritual successor to the SC4 CJ Scrapbook.

With this update this will be the last time I visit my original Simtropolis account- admin/mods feel free to remove it or do whatever you need to do. I have no further use for the Ln X (BLANKBLANK) account.

With regards, Miles Saunders-Priem aka. Ln X aka. The British Sausage

i play the digital deluxe version of this game, maybe thats the reason. and dont worry about bigger buildings, there enough attractions that steal a lot of space. in this city i only build attractions for the $ and $$ society. cause it was the first city in region and no support from other cities. and btw, the tokio tower is high, its looks smaller cause all other are high/big 2 ;-) in the backround it's the "willis tower" (527,3 m building top) that is even higher as empire state building (443,2 m top) and the tokio tower (332,6 m top) is still 1/2 of this.the scale maybe not perfect compared to RL, buts it's still one of the higher (not bigger ;-)) buildings... who cares, its a game.

i think to get higher population (500.000+) , you have to go for water/energy ressources and build industrial/education/etc (stuff like that) from other cities to "feed the meat machine". autonomous supply maybe with hightech/$$$ population, but don't really know cause i play since 3 days and still $%&^! ;-)

My city has reached an equilibrium at 450k with massive unemployment/houses being abandoned due to "no money" (I could replace minimally developed residential areas with industry but that, too, would restrict population growth).

I suspect that the best way of doing things is to place an industrial city connected by rail nearby to provide jobs and utilities.

Education is fine - high schools are very compact and I really wouldn't want 10k students clogging up the streets heading to uni.

Wow.. my respect, that's extreme... Anyhow, how did you managed it to become THAT big? Is there something special, or what happened?

Honestlly i believe it was abit of luck. But also all low wealth pop, keeping taxes as low as fiscally possible and giving them only the neccesities; Power, Water, Sewage, and Healthcare. That was essentially how i did it. haha

Reached 603,000 Population with a mining/smelting specialization. A 81% approval rate. A 5k tax profit and a 1.8M monthly profit. A 12% tax rate. Single city, no other cities in the region, one main avenue, all T junctions. 1X4 and 1X2 blocks with only one side of each road having zoning.

Wow, Looks very good! I actually have the problem with my new cities that I start having financial diseases and traffic is f***ed, too... But I see, you're having some lovely traffic jams there, too. Is your traffic flowing, or is ist more 'stationary'? ^^

Traffic moves, it is just very congested. At the 400-600k range traffic gets really clogged up, but is still moving. Services get slowed though so I have to use the bulldozer periodically. Overall it is stable with a bit of tending. I posted a start to finish of this map in the tips and experiments thread I started. 60+ images and better than that image actually.
