I remember yesterday there was a Dmscopio stadium uploaded yesterday. But today it is somehow gone from STEX. Please re upload it. That file is essential to me.

It was uploaded without the author's consent, which is why it was deleted. That also means it won't be back unless dmscopio uploads it himself.

But who deleted it? You know as STEX is a free exchange all uploads are held to be the common of the community. I have seen many uploads where someone's models were re uploaded and no problem at all. The greater crime is depriving the community this great BAT. I really think nobody has the right to delete someone's upload even if he did not make it. He didn't claim the stadium as his own.

Even if Dmascopio didn't know that his stadium was uploaded he gave him credit right. Those goons who deleted the file should have no right to delete other people's files because you wouldn't like if someone deleted your file. Especially this is a really good BAT.

It's perfectly acceptable to create a lot using someone else's models / props. But if you want to include the files, prior permission must be gained from the author. Otherwise, the required files should be listed in the description, as dependencies.

 

No matter how good a BAT is, if you didn't create it, you're not the owner, and have no right to upload it without permission. Simply giving credit isn't sufficient. If an upload falls into this category, the STEX moderators have every right to remove the upload until further notice. But most times, it's a case of the uploader being unaware of this guideline. So the situation can usually be resolved by notifying the uploader to link to the model instead.

 

Also, the STEX moderators work tirelessly to ensure the exchange runs smoothly. So describing them as "goons" is very disrespectful, and rather uncalled for.
