Could we get a mod that makes it easier to demolish bus stops? For example, a "demolish all" button, or perhaps the ability to demolish bus stops by clicking on the little blue circle tab that highlights each stop.

Hi,

Say, the water plant cannot be modified to work without a water table, can it?

It would be so handy if it could. The Sewage Sanitizer often is not sufficient enough. Providing water is really the only one issue left.

Intersection mod please, great start with streets w not lights mod, manipulating sim traffic is one of my favorite parts of sim city.

THis is a mod REQUEST thread, not a mod HELP thread. I appreciate one helping the other but charles should have opened a new thread for help. PLEASE delete your posts. after you move them.

 

So, it just hit me xoxide, if you read this thread and can get past charles' DISCUSSION... can we please get a mod, anyone, compatible with UDoN that allows UP TO 8 way intersections and does a round-robin of traffic lights? It would be nice, when doing a circular city and you don't want to do a round-a-bout for 8 arteries to come to a point. This is a rare case and not the main reason for me requesting this mod BUT this mod would be used for a LOT of things we can't think of. I can't stand having to put 2 intersections so close together because I have 4 in one already; USUALLY, I need to have a 5-way intersection and want to consolidate them, for ease of traffic.

Sorry, I know I shouldn't have put it here, but I thought that because so many people are watching this thread and reading everything, I thought that there would be someone that could help. But yeah, I do agree, I should have made a new thread.

Also, how moddable are Great Works? Can there be a mod solution for the Space Center bug where it can never complete building because the workers never go there? Could a mod just like, make a Space Port just appear in that area?

 

Could Great Works be improved? I have to admit, the benefits they confer, even when they're not all glitched to hell, are fairly underwhelming. I mean, for example, the tourist draw of the International Airport is just a tiny fraction of what a few ferry ports can bring in, so why even bother? Plus it accepts freight. Big whoop, who cares?

Similar in concept - Is it possible to mod street car stops and bus stops so that they only drop off students, or only drop off workers? We all know how stupid mass transit can be where if you have multiple stops in a route, the buses or street cars go all over the place in a very inefficient manner.

 

Say I have a street car system with stops A, B, and C.  Stop A is furthest from the university. B is second. Stop C is right in front of the university. Ideally, I'd like the streetcar to pick up students from stops A and B, and then drop them off at Stop C. However, a lot of times the streetcar will pick up students at Stop A and drop them off at Stop B, which is useless. Oftentimes, the best solution currently would be to demolish Stop B, making a direct route between Stop A and Stop C. However, this eliminates much of the coverage.

 

Would it be possible to designate Stop A and Stop B as "pickup only", so that the streetcars only drop students off at Stop C?

Homeless shelters with social workers and ploppable upgrades!!

 

This building could work like police station, where social workers (police) go and find (arrest) homeless people and bring them into shelter (jail) for rehabilitation. Possible upgrades could be extra beds for more room, hobby rooms for faster rehabilitation, extra parkingspace for more workers etc.

Couldn't tell if this has been asked yet, but could someone replace or mod-over the ugly Plumbop Park. I cannot stand that it's a high wealth park but looks like a glowing piece of junk making it a total eye-soar to be in your city. Anything realistic or actually beautiful to replace it would be awesome. Thank you awesome modders who make this game stay alive.

mod request: being able to plop without a road connection, or, being able to demolish roads next to building without buildings being demolished, or, being able to replace a narrow road with a wider road (aka dirt road and avenue, for example). just because its very annoying having to demolish a building you've spent tons of simoleans on to upgrade just to place a new road near.

 

 

"oh you wanna replace the road? you gotta bulldoze the building!"

If I were a mayor...

Okay, so maybe I'm a poor mayor of a new town and I can't afford architects. I'll tell you what I could do though. I could buy a map at the convenience store and draw on it!

What I'm saying is, it would be great if there were some way to have an overlay of the empty city that I could put lines on, maybe some colored flags (thumbtacks?) or something to remind myself where I want to put things. I have to pay for dirt roads around parts of my empty city so I can mark off areas I want to use later. I'm not too bright, and I'm old. I'm just getting back into city simulations, but the first video game I ever really got hooked on was SimCity on the Super Nintendo in 1991.

I'm a programmer, I think this could be done, but I do business apps, wouldn't have a clue about games.

I looked around first to see if I could find something like this but couldn't. Am I the only one drawing dirt boxes all over their map?

Most of you do not want mods you want a new version of SimCity :)

 

Some of the things you have mentioned are already possible but you may not be aware of them

 

Building RCIHC on roads that are REGIONAL you can plop them and then delete road without deleting buildings... There are many side effects that are actually features you requested that happen already with the mods that exist haha.

 

They were not intentional but <shrug> we are working with something that has a lot of un predictability.

I don't know if i can explain this thoroughly because i'm having a hard time explaining in english. but i will try because i really want it. :)

trade port.
1. for example: my production of raw ore is too much than the consumed ore for metal so i'm exporting the rest. but what happen is all of my raw ore is been exported, the result nothing left for my consumers locally. what i want is if my raw ore stock in trade port exceeded a certain level. it will export the exceeding amount.

2. i'm producing plastics for my local consumers like the processor factory but it's not enough so i'm importing plastics also. the result my storage lot for plastic is full and no more space for my locally produce plastics. what i want is if it reached below a certain level it will start importing.

that's all. :)

Hi,

I would like to ask for the 'large Horizontal Turbine' to be placed along the normal roads, and the power agents that it produces to go straight via the normal roads to the consumers.

If it can be placed further away from the Wind Farm would be nice.

I'd be really happy if somebody would make:

1.: a streetcar depot mod, so I could build more of them

2.: if somebody would make a mod to make streetcar and bus routes

3.: a mod, which would allow the streetcars to carry passengers also at night

Hi,

For the Maxis Manor, and the Stadiums, can it be done that once you have selected an option, that it will keep doing that option until you select something else?

For instance, when you select the Motor Cross Event of the Pro Stadium, after, it will select that same event again automatically, take the money, and start the Motor Cross Event again on it's own in an unending loop?

The same for the Maxis Manor? You select once, to go after criminals, and he will repeat the cycle over and over until you let him do something else?

Would be handy if it could, as I often forget to start an event again.

New ASSETS are the hardest thing to add to the game.

 

The reason we used park bench and made decorations with more on the way being done by Danny to include additional decorations for use on sidewalks he is working on billboards.  We do plan on having those have the ability to replace images by users so you can put your own art into the game

 

you will need some basic modding skills but we feel this will get peoples feet wet and a little more understanding of how things work to make it more interesting.

 

I think that the community and interaction as well as also involvement from beginner to expert is going to be key to ongoing evolution of the content in the long term.

I hope when you release that one you make an easy to follow step-by-step guide/tutorial that tells everyone how to make their own billboard art. A lot of people can make basic 2D images but not so many know how to mod.
