It's my first post here so Hi All!

I have recently downloaded Tn house pack which is awesome but it's completly flooding my districts with new york or chicago style sets. I want to edit all of the lots from this pack and just assign them euro or houston style. Just don't know how.

Welcome to the forums!

To change the tileset, you'll need to change the OccupantGroup building style property of the lots.

Note: It's highly recommended to make a copy of the lots before editing them. If you make a mistake, the original lots can then be restored.

To do this, the lots can be opened using iLive's Reader.

With the lot open, go to the "Exemplar file" and open the aforementioned "OccupantGroups" entry.

In this entry, there will be some other occupant group properties, which correspond to this list. You'll only need to edit one of these values to change the tileset, which include:

0x2000 = Chicago
0x2001 = New York
0x2002 = Houston
0x2003 = Euro

For example, to give the building a Euro tileset, change the value to: 0x2003

Hope this is clear to follow, as the Reader is a very complex and powerful tool. So if you need any clarification on how to do this, please say. *:)

    I am not quite sure I understand... Why changing hexadecimal values as it can be done in game in the building style menu?

    The building style menu determines which building style(s) will grow. Which building style a building belongs to is determined by the occupant group property that CycloneBoom stated above.

    In easier words, you could say that the occupant group makes a building know which style it belongs to, whereas the building style menu makes the game know which styles are desired. So when the player says "only Chicago and Houston, please!" (by menu selection), only buildings  of the corresponding style (by occupant group property) will appear.
