Public Transport

Hello

 

This is my first post here. I tried looking for this but did not find any other topic of the type

 

After reaching 200k + population its plain mayhem with trffic so i made buses and streetcars this costs me around 15k+/hour which i cant afford i remember in SC4 you could make money from public transport but after searching for different options i wasnt able to find anything. Have they removed this ? or i havnt found the way .

Once you pass the medium density and go over 10-15 k population you have to specialize your city, that is where your profit is to come from.

 

I have a mining and alloy production city with 120k people that makes $1,600,000 while I am losing 15,000 every hours(drop in the bucked compared to my profit).

 

You probably made the mistake of just building to much residential and commerce with all the services and utilities but  the taxes alone can never make your city profitable.
