This annual report is definitely fun and helpful......I'm LOVING it(remember any ads?lol...)

But why only cities with farms? Please give a chance to populated or industrialized or commercialized ones...(Sorry it's quite late and I may miss some replies because of dizzy...zzZZ) They need it,too...

I stumbled across this mod by accident whilst looking for something else, and thought it sounded fantastic, but I can't get it to work!

I placed the 'Rural Setting Mod.dat' file into the directory 'C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins\Rural Setting Mod', and then loaded up one of my rural cities, and jacked the speed up to Cheetah to check out the report. Absolutely nothing happened at the end of the year - no popup, no ticker, no cash. It's like I never put the mod in at all.

It's definately none of the obvious $%&^! things - yes, I'm running Rush Hour and the latest version patch, yes, I've restarted my game, tried it a couple of times, tried different cities. And I have several other custom lots installed under that Plugins directory which work fine, though this is my first mod besides the NAM.

Any suggestions on what might be wrong, and how I can fix it so I can finally use this great mod?

Thanks in advance.

this mod is brilliant 44.gif

erm a little off topic here, but would it be possible to make a mod similar to this for mass transit? sort of like taking usage, over capacity, city pop, number of stops/stations, number of neighbour connections into account?

i find that having a certern criteria to work towards like in the farming mod would greatly increase the aspect of mass transit and make it more life like and fun.

don't know... this mod was created after installing RH, so it *may* work without RH but I'm not counting on it...

With the new discoveries on LUA editing, this mod became a reality 4.gif Each year, you will get a harvest report with how the crops have done last year, and a report on the factors that caused this. A sample report looks like this:

just installed rush hour, and it works.  this is going to help me a lot.

you might want to mention to people that this mod doesn't work without RH installed, that'd be helpful.

other than that, you're like the reference manual for lua/simcity, thanks a lot!

OK, I translated it into brazillian portuguese, but I have one last doubt: does the line "set pop up" has to be translated?

most of the message text should be inside LTEXT files... you shouldn't have to touch them for most of the translating... when I have a moment I'll look into it...

hey, i love this mod but im confused as to why my ground layer humidity isn't making any difference to the annual reports, at first i just thought that my cities were just barely too dry but then i started a base farming community in a map with probably more than 50% water tiles and it still gives me a bad rating for it...

i am running the newest version of this mod + sim city 4 rush hour with the newest NAM and rural highway mods, the problem exists with or without my other plugins such as industry and rural employment modifiers...

    any ideas??

here's my last map with the problem...

EDIT: also sometimes in a new city with 0% air pollution i get a very bad modifier...
