Afraid to say my highways are a complete disgrace - no exaggeration. When a evalated highway ends I simply leave it high and dry without linking it to something, my ground level highway links to a road but I can't get bridges to go over the top of it and in general they are in a mess - any tips?

But I thought that there was only a preset number of ordiances eg. one that earns cash for you and the rest cost money?

Hey anyone know when Daeley will be back or is there anyone else I could consult as regards this issue?
-
I like the fact you said 'at the moment' which to me implies that it may be possible. The reason I ask is because I think it would be good the enhance the political side of the game. Expanding the game's frontiers by making ordiances about civil rights, more based on the economy and other issues. Has it already been done shivsood? Awesome, yeah I'm using that radical ordiance mod now, the one with the Godfather project...who made that mod anyhow?

Creating Ordinances Hmm, I was wondering can new ordinances be added onto the list or can they only be edited? The grammar Nazi has fixed the spelling in this post.

Thanks for the warm welcome Constantina, yeah it would be cool if you could ditch Neil Fairbanks for Senator Kerry or Al Gore. Think your right about Maxis' take on politics though espically with the inclusion of ordiances which aren't really very complex. I PM'ed the guy responsible for the creation of the Rural Modd (brilliant piece of work) so hopefully he'll be able to tell me more once he gets back, think he's offline right now I think. It would be great to hold elections every say 5 or 6 years locally in each town and village but I wonder how it could be done nationally as my settlements are running in different years and time periods eg. one is in 2003 and another of my cities is in 2067! Bet that'll be a nightmare for a top-modder! Hope you don't mind but I'm going to check out your BAT files from your link on your signature.

Rural setting modd -- adding life to farming communities
ckerr094 replied to Daeley's topic in SC4 Modding - Open Discussion
Originally posted by: Daeley Some time agon I started building a farming community in one of my regions. I had never attempted to build a city entirely around farms, but I must say I really enjoyed it. However it seemd something was missing... I thought to myself, what if I could create a mod that gives an annual report of how the harvests have been last year, and maybe give you a bonus if things were good. With the new discoveries on LUA editing, this mod became a reality Each year, you will get a harvest report with how the crops have done last year, and a report on the factors that caused this. A sample report looks like this: quote> THIS IS AWESOME!!!! YOU ARE THE MAN!!! Can you make more of these or teach me the ways because this is INCREDIBLE! THANK YOU!! -
Hi everyone ckerr094 here, just joined recently to this forum and am a huge sim city 4 fan. First I want to thank everyone who inputted to the download and exchange sections of this site, some of those Lots, Bats, tools etc are superb and have really enhanced my gameplay as regards adding new buildings, stadiums, restaurants etc. Thank You. But onto my big question. I recently downloaded a mod about adding the rural setting report which pops up annually, I was wondering if someone could create one of these to do deal with local and national politics or lead me to a tutorial which allows me to create a modd from scratch. Thanks.
