  1. Koyama Island State

I couldn't play much sim city and therefore nothing much to post to you guys... I created a monster screen shot of the 'Pond' that divides the two suburbs Gallomen Grove and Ashhall, both are located at the West of Bayside Downtown. The Pond as you can see is PEG Pond... well ok you would have guessed so... You see two medium sized cities (well parts of them) Ashhall is to the south the western island belongs to it, to the north of the pond lies Gallomen Grove the eastern island belongs to it... you also see some space that needs to be developed ... What you don't see at the close up is the airport but I hope you can see it in the overview (bottom right of the red frame). (click to enlarge 2949x1816 1mb photo bucket) A 75% Quality 4mb 6280x3867 version of the above can be downloaded here: picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/aAJPZREx5Qy0ss5IcgUg3Q (do you guys know a forum friendly, free site that lets me put 4mb up?) Anyhow, got a hold on most PEG OWW2 Lots and most likely will put them to use next. cheers, Governor Koyama KY State

Port West This Update features Port West (north is left on the pictures). Port West is the industrial heart of my region, yet only second the City of Bayside that is more influencial, beeing a finacial and political central. Bayside only came to fame because of the importance of the Port as a key in trading routes for SimNation. So the citizen are proud of there city. Not yet fully developted, currently missing are the low density residential area to the north and some medium develoment to the south and south west, I also need to finish the port and add more jobs to the city. uh and the suburbs and industrial areas. Overview The (unfinished) Port, needs more containers and stuff. also the access roads need to be expanded: Some nice neighborhood by the see suggested name in the council is Southbeach. The East end, mostly smaller houses and industrial area. also features a small forest area And last but not least the Upperclass sims demanded a Marina so the City Council converted the historical harbor area to this handsome Marina. A path leads up the into the forest which is popular with sims that like to have a walk in the forest. there is also a small pond. cheers, Govenor Koyama
  3. Schools are cheap if you plop many and set the bus funding low (like 0) therefor you only pay for the teachers, buildings have no upkeep. so my advise is to leave them in but cancel the buses. imho police and oversized water wells and power plants are the worst budget bleeders. though the power problem is avoidable if you go green (wind and/or geotermal). oneway to avoid this is to buy water and power from the neighbor so you only pay for what you use. or to plop water towers until a pump is cheaper and you replace the seven towers with one pump; or by selling the extra. but I prefer the first aproach hope this made sense. Do you have screenies of this city and stats of water, power...?
  4. City Bankruptcy. Need Help

hey patriot frosh, so i understood you right. delete the parks and you are fine. since you will have negative income you dont make any more money and therefor will not hit the upperlimit. and with this much money you should be set for a couple of centuries and if you run low on cash plop one of this stupid parks. Or even better, dont use cheats. your cities are better without them.
  5. City Bankruptcy. Need Help

you do know that numbers do have a upper limit. move the mod somewhere else and you should be fine. apart from that what do you need 10 billion for? if you plop all parks your are under 1 million. if you plop all fully funded schools you should be under 10 million. so seriously why 10 billon? do you set your tax to 10 0%? this sound like a mod you keep for one month and then remove it, to have an even easier start. cheers, mark
  6. From Null to Now

I really like your journal. the story line is catchy. somehow this is like a soap on tele => you want to know how it goes on. What I miss is monuments of the heroic deeds of Marcus Arventianus or the greatness of HM Hinic VI ... or some huge park complex, or an opera or whatelse is usually placed to gain immortality for the donor. But keep the updates coming, i'm enjoying it.
  7. Gelle Fra

awesome. atleast from the screenies. but I guess I remove the lightpole and flags before placing it. anyway great job 10 stars
  8. Larger default hospital

place an extra large hospital in the same radius and reduce the ambulance funding and both hospitals will not be as crowded as before. nice idea though to provide an larger hospital but I too dont like the adding of default small office buildings as extra space for the hospital. so you get 3 stars
  9. Koyama Island State

ok cool, I will try this on further updates. yet the region overview will be updated on a regular base, so i will have it on my page anyways. http://cityjournal.markanthony.de/ will host the overview and sometime in the future pseudo pages for the cities, the state and important persons. but I will announce that here too. think of it as reference. for those that prefer the smaller photobucket version: X1 and X2 are the cities on Koyama Island east (across the bay) of Bayside (Downtown). If any of you guys and gals have request feel free to throw them at me
  10. Koyama Island State

they are up on photobucket now. sorry you dont get the full overview since photobucket shrinks them to 1024 :-( the overview is 2000 in width. put them on my private website tomorrow or so.
  11. Koyama Island State

Ok Guys and Gals. First of all a big up for Vandy of Van Enterprises for creating this great map, soon on your hard drive too. Secondly I got it! The amount of participation is linked to the amount of nice pictures I deliver. As you can see below I havent done much development in City Screen yet. I plan to turn every city to year 10 before you can participate in that city afairs. Here is what I did so far: 1) provide a nice overview. both satelite & transportation. that I will update on an onchange base. 2) City of Averden, incl. LLandan. 3) Woodridge 4) Perydale (not finished but hit year 10) 5) Jessica Fields 6) Port West (only one district so far, no port yet but I am working on it) Therefore with no further blah blah here go the images (click for larger version): Oh sorry some blah blah before the next image, mind the X's. Name the X contest. Give the X a name. This weeks poll is for X1and X2. and dont nag about the bad hill outlines I will redo them later on. Perydale Woodridge (sorry for the blank spot with BSC Farms) More screenshots next week.

The Koyama Island is a Map This! - Cartography Services product, and released by vandy on the stex (stex download&gt, as well as this Journal. This is the current terrain overview, click for larger version: Index Metro Areas - Bayside -- Downtown -- Ashhall -- Gallomen Grove -- Lakewood -- Ophalias Grove -- Delta - Port West -- FIXME minor cities - Averden - Fotoville - Hillside - Northshore - Paulsdale - Perrydale - Southshore - Tibel - X1 - X2 farming villages - Jessica Fields - LLandan - Woodridge - X3 - X10 ... (incomplete list) Remains of the old starting post: There will be elections, opinion groups, lobbyists, citizens et al and it would be nice to see if you guys and gals are interested in performing as such. This will give you the power to influence in which direction the cities develop. Well not completely but a good deal. If interested please send me a PM with your thoughts. quote> The Governor, General Koyama http://cityjournal.markanthony.de/
  13. AGS Kitmar Stadium

I guess might do well in Bayside (upcoming CJ) btw what does the AGS Kitmar stand for? only found a spanish rugby team that has kitmar in its name.
  14. Map This! - Cartography Services

    Yeah. looking forward too.
  15. Map This! - Cartography Services

heyas, I would like to make a request for a fantasy map that I could use for a cityjournal. Story: Sim Nation acquires a Small Island (10x10 large Cities) just before its coastline and puts General Koyama in charge of development. The centre of the island features a small mountain with hillside surrounding it. Slightly south to the centre is a forest preserve dotted with lakes and a river. To the south the coastline is high and steep. Mayor development areas are marked in bluegreenish (mostly flat, not to many hills here please). High rise and $$$ development will be at the bay. Harbour and Dirt Industries at the west coast. Gaps will be filled with small farming communities.
