This thread was created so that you can post requests for more articles and other SHS items as well as leave comments related to the SHS.

About the SHS

The Simtropolis Help Squad(SHS) was founded for one purpose: To create more articles addressing commonly asked questions and a more obvious way to direct people to the articles. The SHS's purpose has since evolved. While we still create new articles, the SHS is also the group responsible for getting regular-member created articles into the Omnibus.

Member of the Month FAQ

Please Note: This is just a brief outline on what the MOTM is and how to nominate members for the award. For a more detailed outline with information regarding how to join the committee, how the awards are chosen each month, and more, please check out the official Member of the Month FAQ in the Omnibus.

What is the Member of the Month Committee?

The Member of the Month Committee is a Simtropolis group which awards Simtropolis members for excellent work, helpfulness and commitment to the community.

How do I nominate someone for MOTM or EOTM?

Send a private message to the MOTM_inbox account. Your nomination will have a greater chance of being voted Member of the Month if you provide a short reasoning for why he/she deserves the award. Repeat winnings of the awards are allowed, but please note that this will be kept at a minimum. Try to take note if/when your nomination has won previously.

WARNING: Abuse of the nomination process will result in you forever being banned from winning an MOTM award. You have been warned.

Where can I find the MOTM and EOTM winner interviews?

Here, in the interview section of the Omnibus.

In one of your newer articles entitled A How to Make Eye Pleasing Cites -Realistic Beaches, the download links are broken.  The correct links are generally embedded in brackets with superfluous text surrounding the brackets.  Pretty good article, though.

Some of the articles been inserted currentley by the admins are under construction so when they first appear they may look at bit strange.

Yes, and this is expected to continue until all articles are completely edited correctly. Sometimes articles will be uploaded and then taken off temporarily. Using the Omnibus Article Editor can be very tedious and hard at times, but thanks to the dilligent and kind admins who continue to upload our articles!

Many thanks to the admins who take the time to upload our articles.

After trixies are over, the odds of that kind of stuff happening is most likely going to reduce as the admins will not have that to do also.  I just checked the article out, and it appears that the text links are working properly, however, one of the text lines needs to have the break line codes inserted.  That article looks really freaky with that one messed up line.  Take a look!

I need some help!!!

I don't suppose some nice soul could put the Wonderful World of simtropolis Signitures back in the omnibus mainly because it had the link to a forum font colour website (if you know what I mean)

I operate on firefox and this web pallette was the only way of adding colour to my otherwise drab looking posts!

Could somebody please post the link? I will be forever grateful!

You know, we should ahve a sextion where you can put in your signature and see a preview of it before actually hitting submit. Because I spent a good hour on mine earlier, and all I did was add one link. That could be something for you admins to think about. Maybe someone could whip up a quick signature html preview thing, and just stick in the new member section, or here in ST related.

Well, we already did an article on signatures.  I guess that we could make a second part to it, but I'm not sure what to add to it except for a couple of general tips.

Yeah, your correct. The article isn't finished yet, one thing I got to do is changing that ugly colour and like you said the pic's 
but since the admin's are buisy with the trixies we'll have to wait a bit before they have some free time for us
