They shouldn't use download servers.. They should make it p2p so you can torrent it.  Much faster more effective way to distribute the game. They can get like 50 servers to host the game and once it starts it will take off

Whatever file is being downloaded is fairly large that and its prolonging my time, its literally only at like 27% for me now. So as a heads up to those when the download is available, don't think you'll be playing when the Origin download it done. I have very fast internet, so I know its not my internet, its really just a large file or either too many people are downloading it right now.

Its bound to be a bit slow, given how poorly accessible it was to test their servers during BETAs it's no surprise they might struggle at first.

 

But itll settle down in a few hours once they realise they underestimated the demand.

Don't waste your time with origin support trust me lol... this happens with most releaes on origin.

 

Origin can take up to 24 hours to push it through it was the same with Battlefield which had a lot of people complaining. I have no idea why we couldn't grab the game a few days early ready for today to play it. EA and their logic i guess.

I preordered back after Christmas. I logged into help almost immediately after the time and I couldnt download. 

 

How can they underestimate the demand for a game that is pre-ordered. they had to know how many they sold.

I played the tutorial a little but I exited out, I'm going to update my graphics card first because to put it in nice words, it looked trashy on my computer and its Windows 7 and was purchased last Christmas. LOL the server was running pretty smoothly though, nothing to complain about.

It actually pretty fast for me. I got the code from Amazon and begin to download.. now it's 85% only about 10mins.
