I've a feeling that this BAT is gonna be a gargantuan project.  It''l take forever to texture it properly.  Best of luck (I think you're gonna need it....along with loads of patience).

Sky City would be a great project. I like the style and I like Changsha :O. And I like your update. However, I think that the building seem not to have the same shape as the original one, especially for the upper part of the Burj Khalifa.

i agree with libellibicus, i must have extreme patience :(  what I want is to get some proper textures for the building, as some people have recommended to me but I can not look for some that stay with the building. ... Do you think that the windows of the building will add reflections? and I'll try to build upon (complete with tennis Square and all that .... but will have to wait a while.  it's lie don't worry and.... ¿whats up whit nakheel tower, i Improve or not? tell me us. and sorry for bad english.

Don't do nightlights yet. Definitely not yet. This should be the last thing you do.

darn is right, first make sure you modelled everything well and detailed anough, then you should start texturing. Just after all of this has been done you can start with night prewievs and with nite lites. To make texturing easier for you, you should name every single part of your buildings. That doesn't mean that your suppsed to name your windows "window 1, "window 2" and so on. That means you should name different parts of architecture like window glas, windows frames, walls and you should name wall which are going to have different textures with different name like stone wall, metal wall etc. It will make texturing waaaay easier, trust me! ;)

Actually for your information the Burj Kafila Dubai was actually created and uploaded to STEX. So there is no need to "invent the wheel again"...  Maybe you can spend more time on other projects.

And? There are several buildings availabe which has been made more often than just once. But also, several have a lasg of quality or he just feels like doing the same building so I think this shouldn't be a problem.

Are you using gmax for the Burj Khalifa model? If you do, I would strongly suggest you switch to 3ds max if you can, because gmax is very limiting with bad performance when it comes to large structures. Also, you have very limited possibilites with texturing. The reflections you want to add to the glass can only be done in 3ds max. In gmax you can only simulate reflections, which is nowhere as good an option than real calculated reflections would be in 3ds max.

You can get a free version of 3ds max if you are a student.

I'm going to be completely honest, right now the model looks "ok" but we already have a version of this building that looks "ok" on the STEX.

There are some good things about this, but there are more flaws than anything. The building doesn't look "convincing" right now, and I don't expect it to look much better without the proper experience. Something so massive requires a solid understanding of all the fundamentals that go into this if you want to get something that looks more than ok.

Now I can't tell you what to do, but my suggestion is to put this on hiatus, watch some tutorials--learn texturing, modeling, and some rendering very well. Then, attempt smaller buildings that are only a few stories, and make them very good, then once you have that, come back to this.

Regardless of that, if you want to do this with the quality that the community expects from BATs now, you must pay attention to little details, and spend a lot of time on small things. You have a good start, but this is just a huge project to do right. No matter what you choose to do, good luck :)
