Hello guys, I'm back. I won't be as active during the week (school) but I will be fairly active during the weekends. Im going through so much crap in RL and I kinda broke down and I stopped going to ST (and it doesn't help to have a broken computer) in RL. I will be making a comeback to ST as the summer goes on!

And let me just say, most of you guys are WAY nicer than the people down in my town. (What a coincidence - Arlington, VA, my town, has about the population of ST!) Thank you for giving me 3 nice years of pretty much the only site I go to!

We might take a couple.  

My mom just told me how dangerous Seattle is.  According to her, Mt McKinley is about to erupt and the city will have to be evacuated.  (Turns out that Mt McKinley isn't a volcano at all.  Mt. St. Helen's is.  and it erupted shortly after I was there years ago.  but that's another story.)

Then she tells me that Seattle is likely to have a tsumani.  So, she's concerned I will be at the place where the lava and the flood intersect.

Then she tells me that it's more likely to happen when I'm there since I have a tendency to be around disasters.  (well, terrorists did crash a plane less than 1/2 mile from where I was living.  But that's another story as well.)

They get really difficult to raise once they get in their 80s.

I know that I'm relatively new to SimTropolis and am probably unknown outside of the City Journals and The Sims Forums (I think  I've been maybe in Off-Topic only a couple of times), but I find the site addicting and I wanted to say that I will be out for an extended weekend.  I'm taking the family to see the in-laws to celebrate a blessed event... their 50th wedding anniversary!

So far it's been three months and I wanted to thank those who've visited my Sim Diary (especially Ellie, Moganite, Sloppet, Defcon, MayorMommy, PhilsCafe and Cheese91, among the others! ) and who visit and or contribute to The Sims Forums overall...    

And  I especially owe gratitude those who are nice and patient to newcomers.   

That makes a difference!  And it keep this place a blast!

Oh, and continued thanks to Jason for his great BAT tutorial (and continued patience with me).  

And Mrbisonm, I am now at the end of page 41 12/04/04 of Nexis of Genesis!

Alas, RLS ( and my computer's resources ) are catching up to me again.  I start a new job on Monday ( cleaning out my old high school - good times ).  SC4's getting to be unbearably slow on my PC - can't even run SC4 and Winamp together without uber-lag!

So this is what I've had to do:  I've had to uninstall SC4.  Sure, that might sound bad, and it is.  What's good is what I didn't uninstall - the BAT, Plugin Manager, Lot Editor, and LEProp.  I may not be able to run SC4 anymore, but I sure can still make road signs on request!

So, I guess the basis of this is:  1)  I'm not actively playing SC4 until I'm able to add some more RAM ( I've got 512 MB ); 2)  I won't be around here as much because of my new job; and 3)  I'll still be able to make road signs on request for the ST community.

I'm gonna be gone for a while. We're going on a trip to North Dakota (me and my brother) with our grandparents to visit some relatives. I might be able to post every once in a while, but sadly I won't be able to work on my most recent map.  Oh well, it's a beautiful place, so I'm actually excited. I'm just posting before I have to get packed while my brother's at court (long story) . I won't be able to post much except this morning because I'm leaving this afternoon. I can't wait!

In serious news...

I will be gone to New York City tomorrow and Sunday.

As well, I will be gone to Charlotte, North Carolina the weekend after next.  The flight going into Charlotte will be on Friday the 28th and the flight returning will be on the 30th.

As for the question Why would a New Englander need to go to Charlotte? the only thing I can say so far it that it's not a vacation in any way...
