    Thanks guys... A big bunch is already finished, the schema that BarbyW and I were thinking is following: there will be vineyards, olive farms, wheat farms, lavender fields, some fruits and vegetables, and to top, we will introduce new crop: kiwi fruit (1-4 different farming configurations per agricultural produce). Once you have fulfilled a certain criteria obtaining these growing farms, you start to receive rewards: a ploppable mini village with semidiagonal and diagonal buildings; olive oil factory; a residence of owners of olive oil factory (based on Villa Buitoni, a real olive oil king's home mansion in Italy) etc. The chain will finish to an authentic palazzo and forteress. All in all, the whole project will include approximately 40 new BATs and lots varying from 2x2 to 8x8 in size (this can change, as 60% of the project is now completed) - and I am starting to suffer from burn-out... so more like Cammo2003 says, rather later than sooner, as I want to give as many details as possible for the game players. You can never expect a BAT from me which is poor in details.

    When will the Tuscany-style-city project [with Santa Croce Church and so on] be uploaded on STEX? 1.gif

    Thorin: the growable residentials and commercials are now in testing, shouldn't be too long. Testing involves a lot of things: checking correct statistics (fire/waste/water/habitants etc) are in place; that they don't crash cities; that they upgrade (there are $, $$ and $$$ lots, which MUST upgrade), how they look when dilapidating; in which circumstances these developments take place etc. As this is not a paid job for anybody, the testers take the time to do it of course. Many projects take from 3 weeks to 3 months before the tests are concluded, the modifications done, custom queries made, custom icons in place, file installers tested, read-me files done AND tested... you can understand that although I could say: let's upload tomorrow; it is not reality, because I and the rest of BSC just don't want to upload an unfinished product.

    The same goes for rewards (and Santa Croce is one of them in a reward chain of 3 churches): similar crash testing takes place. But when that is done - and the necessary read-me files and file installers done, then these babies can be brought to public.

    Thank you. Hacienda? Do you know why this looks like hacienda? In fact, the agricultural heritage in the Mediterranean area (including Spain, Portugal, southern France, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania and parts of Greece) dates from the Roman times, often farms were turned to small fortresses (Castel/Castello which was chosen as name for this reward: Castello di Chianti), when Roman empire started to collapse. This heritage has spread to Latin America with Spanish and Portuguese colonization, hence you can easily fit my work to these surroundings. Mediterranean farming which in Latin America has turned into haciendas simply is living proof of our Roman heritage dating back thousands of years.

    Hi Mika!

    I love your work. It's so great to see someone doing this mediterranean buildings. This farming reward is extremely cool. Can't wait to see it on the stex.

    btw: could you fix that problem on your istrinian elementary school (released long time ago)? The original download did not work, but I would love to use it.

    Regards

    The original elementary school has been replaced with a new building and will be uploaded over the course of the next week or so. The farms and reward farm will be a bit longer before they appear on the STEX.

    Do you see any? No? Me neither. This probably means there are none.

    Have you hear of the bat request thread ? Please do use it.

    Do NOT expect that he will do it. He is not that active anymore.

    ... and btw: requesting something and then keep asking for it, most likely gets you nowhere. Most people are turned off by people keep asking and wanting an answer to their requests.

    Hi:

    PorkiepropsVol1 link on the Clinic web page that comes up after you install the clinic seems to be broken. Just thought you would like to know. It brings up a page for developers??

    Hello all, I hope I am posting this in the right place. I followed this link from the ReadMe documentation in the "Mediterranean Commercials, by MBEAR" pack I downloaded from sc4devotion.com.

    Try as I might, I cannot seem to make these lots grow. Here is what I've done so far (after initial troubles, I backed up my plugins folder and deleted everything out of it - so this test is on a clean, empty plugins folder). Here's what I've done:

    * Read the documentation (!)

    * Downloaded and installed all noted dependencies

    * Installed the noted package

    I went into an unused city, threw down a nice straight road with a bunch of R's at one end and a bunch of I's at the other, then stuck a bunch of C's in the middle, of varying densities. Set the tileset to Euro only. But all I get are the usual Maxis greasy taco stand, used car lot, etc.

    I then applied the mods to supress Maxis buildings (all Commercial files applied). Restart and bulldoze all those car lots. Nothing grows at all. Confirmed again I've got Euro tileset only enabled, with no rotation.

    Restart and remove those files (the ones that supress the Maxis C lots), the standard Maxis C buildings start popping up again.

    Now, I try not to be an idiot. I know I can make these lots work because I got MBEAR's Med Residential lots to work like a charm with no troubles. Love it BTW... But I can't bear the thought of my Sims living in those cool Med R's but eating at Celia's.

    So clearly I'm missing something, or done something wrong, but I don't know what!

    I believe my SC4/RH installation is very up to date with the correct patches. I'm running SC4 w/ RH and "the patch" (I don't have exact versions of everything but I think you may know what I mean -- it's all up to date I believe but if there's something I can check to be sure, I'll try it. I'm not posting this from that computer so sorry for the lack of detail in this regard.

    Haven't tried the I's yet... looking forward to it because those farms are fantastic too... but one trouble at a time.

    Thank you so much for any help you can provide...

    I don't think Mickebear visits Simtropolis much these days so I would suggest you post this query at SC4Devotion.

    Mieear, I see these beautiful creations but I can't seem to find them anywhere. Could someone please tell me where to find them? It would drastically help my prized city of Alto Mare (high water in Italian)
