    Welcome to page 6!

Thanks so much jglei701 and debussyman, things are going alright with this one, I think.
For the moment, I have started the Lot Editing phase, and before making custom props like walls and gate, here is a preliminary look with SimGoobers wild flower props. The cypresses are from swi21 and planted in lot during game play, so they would not be included in the lot.

Hey, wow...this is just beautiful!! Exactly as I picture my home...after winning Super Lotto. I love the mosaic rug at the base of the steps, the now worn stucco originally hand applied by some 18th Century artisan...and, all those flowers!! Just a gorgeous palacete! Thank goodness I've stumbled upon this thread...if only the system would allow me to subscribe to it...8.gif. EDIT: Now the system decides to play nice.

So many details, a paradise-like garden, fantastic design... I could continue forever 19.gif just because it looks so great 44.gif

jglei701, threeswept and Simbourgeois: Big thanks for your support - I had so much fun detailing the house 1.gif Making the walls took me 1 hour but the details took approximately 84 hours before the main building got this shape. The flowers in the garden are from SimGoober's Flora pack 1 by the way, they are wonderful in recreating Italian/French/Spanish type villa gardens.

I realize that this kind of building may not please everyone - but I just couldn't make skyscrapers, so I decided early on in August to put my time in learning how to create historical buildings, romanesque, renaissance or this one with baroque influences.

Be sure that I am continuing this style. My next project already is in the drawing board, this time it is 13th century Italian style old farm house turned into villa. I am only in early stages, but have already some quite good ideas how this would turn out.

    Some examples:

That's exactly the point I had to fight with at the beginning. I wasn't quite sure if my (first) buildings could be usable cause they're still contrast with all the other buildings out there that have similiar styles.

Be sure, your work isn't only unique, it's exceptional amazing work. Not only because you're one of the first attempting such mediterrian buildings (yeah, I know, debussyman also has amazing mediterrian BATs), also because the Model is outright awesome and the textures you're using... wow6.gif

EDIT: And oh, congratulations for your joining to the BSC! You really deserved it!

This is really your best model so far, it looks fantastic.
The palms that you have made are some of the best I have seen here on Simtropolis.
Can't wait for the next project you will be starting up.

praiodan: I think we will need to go always by our individual ways, it is the only TRUE method.

Kwakelaar: I am so happy that this model is getting there, but I did find some glitches with help of some others, and I am fixing those of course. Next project... I have some nice things in my head, but it is a secret for a moment 1.gif

Thanks vester_DK, Kwakelaar and jglei701 - I am now busy planning more Mediterranean houses - to let your cities grow in Mediterranean style! Watch out for some development in coming weeks.

I am so happy that I've found this thread again (Simtrop deleted it from my subscriptions after the switch)! I love the Villa Carlotta...it's just stunning, stunning, stunning! When I feel that I would want to live there, then I really know that someone has done a fantastic job in recreating real-life structures. Thanks for this great addition! I can't wait to see what else you have in store!!

I really love your stuff, but I was wondering if you were going to finish the Istrina Elementary school?? It would go great in my region but I can't seem to get rid of the "Brown Box" (actualy thanx to peg, little red and green stripes).. Did I miss something in the forums?? I'm sure I have the dependancies....

Jlemen: Yes, in fact I have a newer version of it. It needs to be tested by BSC first though, in order to be sure that this box thingie isn't bothering anybody any more. That school was my second attempt in BATting back in September, and although I am happy of its success, I wasn't aware that there is a mandatory fix to update a .ms file in gmax, which probably had caused an ID mix up... hence the problem. And... now that I have advanced a lot more with texturing, I did a new one...

These are really great Mika! I can tell you've spent a TON of time on them, and I can't wait to see how people use them once they're released!!! They're so well done, they will enhance any city with that little bit of Mediterranean flair!

Absolutely stunning! I think I've mentioned before that if I can imagine myself actually wandering around those streets with your buildings...then, you've done a superb job! I love the new traffic circle bus station!! Really beautiful!!

Hello! I'm new in the play of SimCity4 and therefore, I don't know anything. I have looked at this web and I'm hallucinated with the buildings of Istrinia. I want them, how can I have them all? In the zone of downloads they aren't all and they can't be download because they say (my English isn't so good) that has changed something. Can you help me? I want that my city have Italian style and it I can do it only with these buildings of Istrinia! Thank you!

spa and z5manuelangel: thanks so much for your comments. z5manuelangel: welcome to Simtropolis first of all; buildings in the pictures of this thread buildings are not yet to be downloaded anywhere. They are in the process of being prepared in BSC (Bat Squad Certification) team and tested. The purpose of BSC is to produce high quality custom content with purpose, which necessitates considerable amount of background work in coding and testing. Now these BATs have reached that stage. It still takes some time when they are ready to be published. Stay tuned 4.gif

If there is enough wish and good spirit, I might unlock Villa Carlotta and Istrinian Hospital in STEX, but for the moment, they will stay locked for the next two weeks.

Wow!! The BATs look superb. I was like just looking at them for a long time. They simply looked amazing. It was like they were crying out to me saying 'Look at me', and thats what I did.

You surely have put in a lot of hard-work in these lots. Thanks!

Waiting to download them!! Take Care!
