Beta Keys Anyone

So I just joined wondering if anyone here got beta keys for Simcity. I signed up a couple of weeks ago and still no key. If anyone has a spare please send one over to me. Thank You

No, the beta isn't live yet. I think maxis will at least have an article about the beta when they release it.

In the reeditt discusion it was posted they will annonce information about it in the near future, which probably means the next two weeks. Hopefully a nice christmas present.

Well, if Darkspore's beta was anything to go by I would say we should expect the beta to start sometime either late this month or early Jan. Darkspore's beta took place about a couple of months before release.

Realistically, if you take into account the time it takes to manufacture the discs they should have at most a little under 2 months to have the game "finished". Games usually go gold anywhere from a couple of weeks to a month before the release date depending on how big of a release it's going to be. That means that the public beta has to happen really soon if they actually want time to fix any of the bugs they'll encounter.

I am in the beta, got a key however the beta isn't "active" yet. For those thinking it will be a real "beta" version I really hate to dash your hopes but it won't be, It will just be a marketing demo and MAYBE a stress test for Origin, the DRM, and cloudsaves. From what I was told the beta won't even come out until maybe a month before launch.

The packaging, materials and shipping of the game will have already happened by the time the much fabled beta gets releassed into ya'lls hands.

I'm also skeptical. I'd assume the NDA you'd be required to uphold would prohibit the disclosure of details such as those. Of course, if that were true, it wouldn't surprise me.

search through my post history, I posted a screenshot of Origin account with the beta loaded in it. Of course I've blacked out all the juicy stuff like key #, name, etc.
