Official Maxis Props

Looking for those close to impossible to find official Maxis lots that are sometimes listed as a dependency for a mod you just downloaded ? I know when I download a building that lists an official Maxis landmark and I can't find it because the links in the readme are often outdated or broken and using Google is mostly miss and not a hit.

Well here are two links I have found and they work as of 7.19.2012 and unlike the City Builders website these links do not require registration or login.

One has the PEG_OFMN.dat that you need for some building and the other has the elusive Castle Ramparts which I never knew existed until I downloaded some building that listed it.

This one has the castle ramparts and a few others.

This one has the OFMN.dat (Day of Peace) and Building Prop Vol 1 and Building Prop Vol 2 along with some others that are listed in the first link.

This is why the city builders website was set up to provide a catalogue of all the plugins on whatever site they are on ... anyone can look or search on the catalogue, you only have to be a registered user if you wish to add yours or other people's plugins to the catalogue ... providing the maxis lots themselves on the site was additional to this goal.

And yes I realize its a big project and may never be finished, but that shouldn't be a reason not to do it.

i would but for some reason i can't access their site no matter what i try. i've burned through three different e-mails trying to register with that site and it won't let me. you can reference all you want but i don't have time to deal w/unstable websites

Its my site, so yes I did notice the number of accounts you set up, I've left the chimeran-dragon account should you ever wish to use it, let me know and I'll make it active.

Not sure why you had problems, I made the setting up of an account as simple as possible ... create an account, get sent an email, click link in email, account active.

That's correct, as should all plugins.

I was looking for the "Castle Ramparts" and Google directed me here. Thanks for provinding this info, Chimeran.

 

The first ...roe99... link listed in the first post is still working as of today 10/20/2014 but some of the files listed would not download, like the SF City Hall and Rockefeller Center for example.

about half a dozen sites now done, currently cataloging the STEX about half way thru that ... its going to be a while before its done.

no account needed to download the plugins, we did have a site crash a couple of weeks so some of the pictures in this area are going to have to replaced as the existing pictures have got damaged.

 

chimeran your account wasn't taken over to the new site when we moved, we only have about 150 people that moved with us from the old site, so if you ever want a CB account then you will have to set up a new one, but if you do I'll issue you the same badge all the others that came with us from the old site got given.
