Do you think my computer will be able to handle SimCity (2013) ?

Hi, I was wondering if I could ask any of you if you think my computer will handle the new SimCity?

Here are my specs,

HP

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

Intel Core I5-2400 @ 3.10 ghz, 3101Mhz, 4 Core(s) 4 Logical Pro.

Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 6.00 GB

Total Virtual Memory 12.0 GB

AMD Radeon 6450 (1 GB Dedicated Graphics)

1 TB Hard drive

I tried CANURUNIT and it said it will work but some people said not to trust it.

dude you don't worry about the specs of your pc, you can still play games that will be developed 5 years from now. i think mine will expire by 2013 or 2014 XD

Your processor is good, and the amount of RAM you have should be good, but the graphics card is pretty weak. You should maybe look at HD 6850. It's not too expensive and would be a major upgrade over what you already have. Just make sure that your power supply can handle it if you upgrade.

My graphics card can handle the sims 3 and all the expansions at max settings and its pretty smooth.. Do you think I would still be able to run the new simcity without upgrading because im not gonna upgrade my graphics card just for one game lol... Would it run nicely on medium settings? Thankyou for your detailed advice aswell

I have no clue. You'll just have to wait and see! There's not point in upgrading now because of that. But I'm just letting you know that if you do have performance issues with SimCity 5, then it will likely be the graphics card.

I have no clue. You'll just have to wait and see! There's not point in upgrading now because of that. But I'm just letting you know that if you do have performance issues with SimCity 5, then it will likely be the graphics card.

you don't need to upgrade dude, sims 3 developed 4 years ago and your card was just a year o less, your card can play games for good for the next five years, the card he says were normally used for hardcore games like fps, but tho, your card can handle it.

The discussion of GPUs makes sense but we can not forget that Simcity is a simulator that performs all his work on the CPU and for this reason there are limits imposed on the new game to make possible what is intended with the new engine, ie. a graphic realism on the screen of what happens in the simulation.

To continue playing with the same standards today, maybe would need something like this ...

Not officially for the release date, no. Unofficially, I read a post on another forum that Maxis was posting job needs for folks who would work on the coding to port a "major new game" to the Mac. So, perhaps...?

CPU: Pentium ® Dual-Core CPU E5200 @ 2.50 GHZ

RAM: 4.1 GB

OS: Microsoft Windows 7 (build 7600, 64-but)

Will I be able to play this game?

And this is just for the offline version. Following systemrequirementslab I for example have enough for Cities XL 2012, but still, at around 500.000 people the game, doesn't work that well anymore.

The online version I already know, I will never be able to play, because even with a 20 mb/s internet connection, I can't play Battlefield 3. Which makes me very sad actually.
