The Guess That Member Game!

Hey everyone. I thought of this game earlier tonight and I have been excited to post it ever since. The basis of the game is guessing the member of Simtropolis someone is referring to, based upon the clues they gave about the member. Once the member is correctly guessed, the person who gave the clues will notify everyone of this, and the person who guessed correctly will give clues on a new member. Because of this, the two-post rule might have to be broken at times. (For instance, if someone gives the clues, and the next poster guessed correctly, then the clue-giver must break the two-post rule and notify that the member has been correctly guessed, and the guesser must then also break the two-post rule to give clues about a new member.) Confusing, right? It'll make more sense as we go along.

Now in case you didn't know, at this very moment, there are exactly 480,268 members on ST. Guessing the correct member out of 480,268 total member would be virtually impossible, so here are some rules on which members you can choose to give clues about and the clues you can give:

1. The member must be active on the site. (In forums, CJ's, STEX, or all) Don't just pick some random Joe Schmo who hasn't been online since 2004.
   
2. The member must be somewhat known. (You could search for the member based upon the clues given.)
   
3. You must give a minimum of four clues out of the following list* of available clue options at first. After 10 incorrect guesses, 2 additional clues may be given, continuing until the member is correctly guessed.

• First letter of username
  
• Small hints about CJ, if the member has one/any
  
• Date joined
  
• Number of posts
  
• Most active in...
  
• Any Trixies?
  
• Well-known for...
  
• Country/State where the member lives (Don't give the city - that makes it too easy)
  
• Gender
  
• Birthday
  
• On clue-giver's friend list
  
• Member of any BAT teams
  
• Info about member's avatar
  

If I think of any more, I'll add them. If you guys think of anything else, let me know.

Please remember the as well as the General Rules. We don't want things to get out of hand here, now do we?

Okay, I guess I didn't explain this very well.

@zahrul3: You were supposed to guess the member I gave clues on, not give clues on another member. Also, you are only allowed to give four* clues in the initial clue-giving post. After 10 incorrect guesses, however, you can give two additional clues to make it easier. Sorry for any confusion.

@mrtnrln: I know based upon my clues it could be a lot of people. To make it easier, I have changed the initial amount of clues someone can give in their first clue-giving post to four. Here is my fourth clue about my member: He/she has a Benedict-style avatar. Hopefully this won't make it too easy. The clue-giver is supposed to make it challenging for the guessers.

*I have tweaked the rules a bit. Now the clue-giver can give four initial clues, instead of three.

I'm very sorry for any confusion, everyone. From this point on, please only guess who my mystery member is, until I notify in another post that someone has guessed correctly. Remember, until I notify everyone that the correct member has been guessed, assume no one has guessed correctly. (Nathanthemayor isn't correct.) Until then, happy guessing!

EDIT: Rules have been tweaked again. (and again) Here's a summary of the rules:

1. Only give clues from the list I provided

2. Between four and eigfht initial clues can be given, followed by two after every ten incorrect guesses

3. After the correct member has been guessed, the clue-giver will make a post, notifying this

4. Because of this ^, the two-post rule might have to be broken occasionally, but this will try to be avoided as much as possible

5. Member must be well-known and active on site

6. Follow all forum game rules and general rules!

I'd like to apologize to the mods for the disorganization of this game. If anything gets out of hand, or if a rule needs to be changed, please do whatever you need to fix it. Hopefully this will get more organized and simpler as we go along.

I made a mistake. I feel like an idiot.

The member was sim_link. When I go to sim_link's profile, there is a button saying "Remove me as a friend," so I thought sim_link was on my friend list... I was wondering why no one guessed sim_link; I thought it was easy, but it was my fault. This game is not getting off on a good start.

Well, some one else can have a go at it while I go sit in a corner and facepalm myself. I'll still try to guess, though.
