Wow, this is really cool!  With rush hour out, it would be a totally new project to update that city! Well done.  Hope to see the finished product.  I am in the process of trying to recreate Toronto... hope it turns out as well as your NYC! 2.gif

Ok, I don't have the words to describe how beautiful this looks! New York is definately the greatest city in the world and one of my dreams is to go and visit it some day.

I must say again, excellent, excellent job10.gif! Since I live in New Jersey, I have been to New York City many, many times (despite my young age3.gif), and it is a great representation! Well, alls I can say now is, you better make a Shea Stadium22.gif!

I was so impressed with your work on my home town that I had to respond. Please keep us posted on what you are doing with NYC. If you can figure a way to get the Apollo in there by all means do so.

BTW, the only thing you have to worry about with NJ is putting Giant/ Jet Stadium in the right spot.

No love for Jersey? 2.gif Anyway, it'd be nice to see the Parkway, Turnpike, and the northern routes (22, 3) around as well. The Sports Complaex shouldn't be that hard... Use the Korean Stadium for Giants Stadium, though I can't think of anything off the top of my head for the Meadowlands or the track. Also, I'm interested on how the Jersey side of the tunnels came out, and how/if Jersey City and Newark would be included

Ok, done with the hometown stuff... GREAT JOB on the city! I love what you did with the West Side and Downtown... It looks great. Once the BAT comes out, I'll be going to work on the World Financial Center and various other metropolitan landmarks. (Though I don't know the codes. Perhaps the Modd Squad could fix that) Excellent work on the city... I can't wait for whats next

Very very nice city indeed...

If you take a look at that ferry though, it seems to me that it's not connected to the road 6.gif Probably still works though...

You can use a football stadium as Giants Stadium. You can find the stadium in the lot exchange

That's damn good... Mind you the undertaking I have in front of me is also very difficult... I'm trying to do Sydney... In terms of the road layout, Sydney is alot more difficult to do - no grid. I've had to approximate the CBD because of the road layout... Also, the sheer expanse of Sydney makes it a massive undertaking (when it comes to the metro in terms of area taken up, Sydney beats NY hands down, although your city is much bigger in population) ...... There are also limited resources for me to look at...

Anyway, good luck with it...

BTW, what's it like living in a city that big? there's none here in Australia, I'm just curious...

This is just unbelievable!  Basically, words fail me.  I can't believe the attention to detail!  How inferior do I feel right now?!?!?1.gif

Outstanding attention to detail.  You should try making some custom lots to get every last bit of the city.  Great job!,

It must not be a too scale terrain, looks like you couldnt fit in all the roads. It looks great, though! Lower Manhattan would be hard, all the strange roads...

As a New Yorker, I must say that I am amazed at the similarities. You did a very good job at recreating it. It is very realistic. Keep up the good work.

Although you posted a picture with Javits Center and Holland Tunnel. Don't you mean Lincoln? Holland Tunnel is at Canal Street.

PS. That was a funny comment, Dalai Llama.

Check out the blog I made to document some of the real-life references Maxis used for their SimCity buildings...

Critics. I hate critics, yet I can be one sometimes!22.gif I'm a hypocrite, I guess. Anyways, I'm a Long Islander. I live in the suburbs of New York City, but I hardly ever visit. However, I have to admitt. That looks a lot like NCY! The region and the map look realistic! I'm absolutely amazed! Bravo! Bravo! Encore!! Encore!! We want more!!! We want more!!!9.gif

Great work! My passion in SC is to recreate my city: Toronto. I recreate the roads and buildings too, so I can appreciate all the hard work you put into this.

And by the way, I visited New York (the real one) for the first time last week, and I have to say I loved it!!! It's any aspiring architect's dream city, I'm sure. But I don't know if I could live there...3.gif

Very impressive. Great work. Are you by chance going to somehow make parts of the city available for download or something like that? I would love to get in there and see what you made in close up detail.

Very nice. You can download a modd that lets you put in road top bus stops, subway stations and bustop/subway combos.

hey 6459978 (odd name) have you started the Toronto area yet? I'm from Brampton and I'd love to see Toronto recreated in SC4
