Gmax and WINE Discussion

    Gmax will not work on WINE. I am fully aware of that, and you should be, too.

    The WINE AppDB seems to indicate that in 2010, on Ubuntu 10.x, Gmax was able to run but was crippled. As of Ubuntu 11.x, the installer seems to run okay but the program won't open at all. I don't know what changed in the meantime.

    Nonny Moose said that he tried to do testing on it, and it still didn't work.

    And its been broken ever since. The materials editor cannot access the materials libraries due to some arcane problem with OLE.

    ...so it still doesn't work, despite the fact it now launches and whatnot now? After all, you said yourself some things were fixed.
