Update 1

Hello fans, This new city journal is about a city that emerged from being a quiet town in the Insane Mountains to being a huge metropolis with big plans ahead of it. Expected to grow to 1 million sims by the year 2009, and its population as of 2004 is 501,892 sims!

Country Info

mapnorthamerica.gif

Autumn is in the heart of Radiator Springs Bay, population 42,981,003 sims, which was formerly known as Hudson Bay. Seania was formed when China declared war on Mexico on January 7, 1962, soon countries took there sides which slowly engaged the world into World War 3. Many citizens were surprised when neither the U.s. nor Canada joined due to the fact that all the other countries were scared of the U.S. and thought Canada was too peaceful. But the citizens around the Hudson Bay in Canada wanted there own country. The president of Canada said Canada will still be the 2nd largest country with Greenland now part of it, and its population won't change that much since most of the Canadians lived in Southern Canada, such as Vancouver, Toronto, and so on. Then Seania Became its own country and is now even more successful than Canada with a population of 221,827,098 sims as of 2010 (5th most populous in thhe world) and life in both the U.S. and Canada is going on as if the war never even happened.

City Info

Autumn is an emerging metropolis with 528,024 sims and an average income of about 61,000.

You can easily see all the development going on which gives the city its potential to hit 1 million sims.

Nice start. Lots of potential...remember to turn off the My Sims missions and the grid when taking pictures. I see you have some custom content, but there is also a lot of maxis repetition. Keep it up and keep improving. The region shot really reminds me of the old days, hehe.

Seania... Quebec? LoL! If you were thinking of Quebec... Je vous souhaite bonne chance!

If not... Good start... I'd like to see how you develop your metropolis!!! 44.gif

Good start so far. Here are some suggestions to make your pics look better:

1)Minimize the menu.

2)Get rid of the UDI Zots

3)If possible, try not to capture Unzoned zones, as it looks ugly. A demand mod could help that.

4)No pause button.

Keep it up, I'd like to see more!

How is a record of 0.1 inches of snow in July possible when the record low temperature is still above freezing point?

    I have only two questions:

One: How come Mexico didn't change at all if the war was declared on them and Canada did?(the map)

Two: Why would Seania become more populated then Canada? Did they find some natural resource there or something(Gas,Coal,Plazma fuel)?

Seania is somewhat in the same hemisphere as Alaska. Most people wouldn't go north if there is nothing important there.

I'm just asking theses questions for some clarification. Details are very important. Either than that it has a good story line and looks very good too!Keep it up.

    Mini Update 1

A little explanation of the countries succes

    ReplyPic.png

    Autumnthunderstorm.jpg

A record-breaking spring thunderstorm pounds the Autumn Metropolitan Area with 67 MPH winds and 17 inches of rain in 9 hours.

    Glendale-Feb18011332106867.png

The new suburb "Glendale" has got poured with 21 inches of rain in 9 hours, many wondering how this could be so powerful. A young boy came across the history of his country "Seania". So he wrote a letter before his family evacuates to Midtown Autumn. He found out that the country is the 5th top oil producer and has 60% less laws than a normal school! But he agrees how he thought it was impossible to have 4% crime with only 21 laws and population to go from less than 1 million to 221 million in less than a century!

    Autumn-Feb26131331602066.jpg

The citizens of Autumn were sad that they missed 2 scheduled updates, they are going to give you a mega update!!!

    ReplyPic.jpg

Autumn has went from a quiet city with a population of 23,981 to a sprawling city with over 793,672 Sims and a metro of 1.1 million as of the time this was posted!!! Autumn is at a point where its urban sprawl is higher than any other city in Seania. While much of Seania, including the country itself, is going through a period of slow growth, Autumn has already beat its projections by 1.7 years. The mayor released plans for the metro urban sprawl.

    AutumnMetropolitanArea_thumbedited.jpg

But not all has been good. A huge Nor' Easter (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nor'easter. These occur mostly in the United States and Canada) has struck Seania, it has brought 85 MPH winds with gusts up to 90 MPH. The pictures below show you a satellite image of the storm off the coast of New York State approaching Seania.

    275px-GreatBlizzardof2006.jpg

    Huffington-Apr1071332811871.png

You can easily see how powerful this one is. It has been named one of the biggest non-tropical 2006 storms in North American history. It dumped 39 inches of snow in Autumn and dropped temperatures down to minus 13 Degrees Fahrenheit. The snow melt is expected to flood the city in 2 feet of water when temperatures warm up.

    AutumnMetropolitanArea-1331928984.png

Just by seeing this picture and looking at the planning picture you can imagine how fast houses are being built. The city of Autumn has a average income of about 50,000 to 55,000 and Peoria, population 193,356, has an average income of about 80,000 to 90,000. The area has been called one of the fastest growing middle class metropolitan areas on the continent.

    Huffington-Sep10041332747158.png

Huffington is the 3rd most populous farm cities in the state of Yamaha with a population of 13,981 sims. The most populous is Palm Springs, also in the Autumn Metro, with a population of 43,172 sims.

    Huffington-Mar17071332811749.png

    Huffington-Mar21071332811772.png

The first picture shows a normal day in downtown Huffington. The second picture shows and proves the amount of middle class residents in Autumn due to low taxes while taxes for the poor and rich are at 20% in some places.

    Huffington-Sep10041332747158.png

This picture shows how small Huffington is, and shows its highly unrealistic downtown area.

Now we will focus on the entertainment district.

    Autumn-Nov20191331930471.png

This picture shows the Phineas Theme Park & Resort. In 2005, the park was visited by 201,398 sims. The theme park stabilizes the Autumn economy, without it Autumn will crash (the stock market that is). Below is another picture of the entertainment district.

    Autumn-Nov20191331930679.png

    AutumnMetropolitanArea-1332812179.png

This picture shows the northern part of the Autumn Metropolitan Area, which consists of Northern Autumn and Peoria. Glendale is locally known as the poor neighborhood, with many rental houses and tiny apartments, Glendale has an average income of about 15,000 to 20,000, which even in the United States is considered under the poverty level (in most states but not all).

Thats all for today!!!!! Next entry will have a big shocker so don't miss it!!!!!!!!

UPDATE: THE BIG SHOCKER WILL BE THE UPDATE AFTER THE NEXT UPDATE!!! THX

    Autumn-Feb26131331602066.jpg

No Reply for this update, Autumn is busy

This is Part 1 of 2 of the Twin Suburbs update.

    Wolfington-Feb10091334380406.png

This is Wolfington, a prime and middle class suburb with a population of 40,381 and an average income of about 43,000. Wolfington houses mostly middle class sims due its proximity to Downtown Autumn, middle class feel, and its busy shopping centers and malls. Nearby is Buckdale, the biggest industrial center in Autumn with a population of 64,891 sims.

    Wolfington-Feb15091334380508.png

This is downtown Wolfington, one of the smallest downtowns in the area, but provides enough jobs for 90%-95% of Wolfington residents to work here, making the commute time at about 15 minutes. Downtown Wolfington has seen little development since the Great 2007 Nor'Easter of Seania. This picture shows a rare, snowless day in early February.

    Wolfington-Feb21091334380599.png

This picture shows a better view of the Fiona Twin Towers and the Wolfington City Hall with a little view of a residential neighborhood right outside of downtown.

    Wolfington-Mar5091334380917.png

This is a developing residential neighborhood, which is like the rest of Wolfington where it starts out lower wealth ends up middle class.

Hope you enjoyed part 1 of the Twin Suburbs Update. Bye Now!
