Problem with Roads, Please help!

Hey guys so I've noticed that every once in a while when building roads I'll come across a weird error here's a pic:

sorry, but importing pictures doesn't work for me so a link will have to do, anyways as you can see theirs nothing getting in the way of connected the road however it can't be done, I'm seeing this more often with a highway next to it, whats causing this? how can I fix it, it wont let me build a road up to the point of that yellow line is anyone else experiencing this problem?

I think that's how the streets work.The avenue next to it might be a problem
aswell.

I am wondering what that other yellow thing is by the turn on the road
just before the avenue/highway ramps,as that seems weird.

I think the real problem is trying to drag too close to the interchange.

It could be due to being next to a coastline where the terrain isn't flat. The new connection could be trying to level the terrain to connect, but because of existing structures, it won't level. It might also be due to a slope mod (if you use one).

The intersection is possible, as can be seen here...

...but this was on level terrain. You might try levelling the surrounding area and redraw things. Just a thought...

Captcity is right on, whenever I had this problem it was due to uneven terrain.

CaptCity I was thinking it was due to the zoning(which he has)as it adds the streets

automatically & may be messing up the connection.

I may have been wrong though but I thought I would just mention what I was thinking.
