Question42.gif In the second pic, is where the avenue is placed part of your breakwaters set?

quote>
Well, I know for sure that you are wanting Jeronij to answer your question, but no, it isn't part of the set. It just takes extreme amounts of practice to terraform your land like that! 29.gif

Great job Jeronij! You can't believe it, but I've been offline a whole day. For some odd reason it was scary. 47.gif And now my website has been down for about a week (and it is still down right now). Can you believe your hyperlink to this CJ is still on my website! 44.gif I had three people e-mail saying that they thought this CJ was pretty cool looking! 29.gif19.gif

Anyways, really great job jeroni. You cease to amaze me!

    Yes, there it is, every single tile of it! I see you've used the lighthouse. That's actually on of my favourite standard buildings. Looks so beautiful standing alone close to the water... and the red little roof.... and the beautiful small windows.... 41.gif'); height=15 alt=Insert smilie 41.gif src=https://community.simtropolis.com/assets/emoticons/41.gif width=15 border=0>  ..... oh, sorry for dreaming away somewhere far from here. It's not that great 2.gif'); height=15 alt=Insert smilie 2.gif src=https://community.simtropolis.com/assets/emoticons/2.gif width=15 border=0> . Anyway, I like your railsystem and all the water- and oiltanks.

    I see that you still have problems with yellow lines in the roundabouts or is it just old pictures? Personally I can't make the 3x3 roundabouts to work. It always ends up with a zebra cross when you drag the road into it, it works with one-wayroads though 34.gif'); height=15 alt=Insert smilie 34.gif src=https://community.simtropolis.com/assets/emoticons/34.gif width=15 border=0> .

    49.gif About the ships shown some pages ago, I already said that the models are not made by me. They belong to a professional collection I own, so I am not sure if such a thing should be released to the STEX. What do you think ?

    Yes Jeronij, I indeed ment such docks as PEG's ones...

    Let me explain why I ask for this: What I am currently doing with my current city('s) is to build some industrial harbours such as you did.. But since I am very critical about realistic shores, I want to have everything straigthen out and nice looking for the eye...

    Here's what I currently have for the harbours:

    ----- is your current seawalls or peg ones
    === is standard ingame seaports

                   ====
        land     ====  land
    ------------====----------
                   ====
       water    ====  water
                   ====

    What I want to achieve:

                  ====
       land     ====   land
                  ====
       water   ====   water
                  ====
    -----------====-----------

    I hope you know what I mean with this, and I hope you want to do this, or willing to...
    I'll leave the choice to you on how you achieve this if you are going to make this for me(us?)

    About your recent update, you've given me great inspiration about industrial harbours 44.gif
    keep it up!

    Thanks...

    EDIT:

    just thought about it again, another possible solution can be if you want to make various docks/seaports that matches the current seawalls that are already available on the STEX 42.gif

    Dear Jeronij,

    I read you would like to post the container ships on the stex though you're not sure wetter it is possible or against policy of the site.
    I just wanted to say this: If you ask permission to the creator it would be possible and would be 100% (legal) to post it on the stex,
    but if you can't contact the creator anymore cause of RL or any other conditions then I'm affraid it would be against site policy's.
    Since we wouldn't like it here that people are using other people's stuff, wetter they give credit to the creator or not.
    Though I really hope you succeed in aksing permission to post these awsome ships on the stex.

    Hello, Jeroni.

    I certainly understand your short answers.  After all, I only have you to send a message to while you have EVERYONE who has sent posts to your CJ to reply to as well as take care of RL as well.  Please, my friend, I have no problem with this.

    Thank you for your reply concerning my questions on the various parts of your refinery.  Given your answer then I can reset assured that I have most if not all of what you've used as I've downloaded almost all of the STEX!  < grin >

    Ah, the refinery.  What an acheivement it is.

    24.01 This is a very clean looking depot area.  I like the orderly look of everything.  I do have a question for you.  What is the small building to the right hard against the rock wall.  It has a brown open beam type of roof.

    24.02  I would agree with you on this.  If this is truly a dirty industrial area, I wouldn't expect to see flowers or, for that matter, many trees.  (Other than what you may see specifically planted around maintenance and office buildings -- certainly not in the working areas of the refinery.)

    24.03  Now THIS is an area I would drive through the refinery just to get to!  I really like how you've landscaped and developed this beautiful point of land.  What a wonderful and tranquil looking area!

    24.04 and 24.05  Your development of the dock and warehouse areas are superb, Jeroni.  You make these areas look so very realistic with your placement of buildings, transit, ect.  Very nice work.

    24.06  Now THAT is a very nicely made dock area.  I especially like the large cracking tower/chemical repository.  Also, is that a power substation on the dock?

    24.07 and 24.08  Excellent use of industrial and commercial buildings which give a great impression of both busy industry and the associated office/commercial functions that go along with it.

    Jeroni, another wonderful update.  Thank you.

    Regards,

    Vandy

    Hello jeronij,

    I've been reading your CJs (Columbia River and this one) all the time but sorry this is the first time that I post here.

    GREAT JOB!!17.gif

    I wish I can be as creative as you... my cities look like... sigh.

    Anyways, keep it up!

    And, one question, I think I saw you were able to have a street to go through the city limit and connect to the other cities? Is that a mod or is that something I didn't see clearly?42.gif

    To do that you just drag the street off the edge of the map while holding the left mouse button and it should ask whether you want to connect to the next city.

    EDIT: Brilliant update jeronij! The refinery area looks excellent! The docks look great! Keep up the fantastic work! 44.gif

    Looks good, Jeroni. If you don't like the flowers, what about downloading the No Roadway Junk Mod by PEG, which can be downloaded here: PEG No Roadway Junk Mod

    Useful for industrial cities, don't you think?

    BTW: The breakwaters are working great! Marrast's seawalls are good for residental and commercial areas. Any possibility of creating a set for commercial that complements Marrast's seawalls?

    I like the flowers in the industrial zone, brings a bit of color... I also like the way you do your industrial zones, lots of greenry here and there.
    If you ask me i would never be tired of your work, jeronij. Or maybe i could be fed up of being completely amazed each time you post a new update. 48.gif

    I like the way you use the railway, especially the part it's parallel(typo?) to the gazpipes.
    Talking about railways, i managed to find the railyard. It was on Nob's website. Thanks! 1.gif

    i also dont think that there are too many flowers. i've seen much of industrial areas with flowers and green areas, even tho they where dirty industry areas.
    i would just keep them to provide a litte more friendly atmosphere to your local sim-employees 19.gif

    Hello dear Simtropia visitors!!!

    Thanks to all for the nice comments and compliments 44.gif !!!

    I just wanted to tell you that I had some time to play today. This is the actual situation in the incoming city of Peraires.

    extraperaires060106010uo.jpg

    I hope you like it. Replies in the next post. No more time today, sorry 34.gif.

    Just one note. siulung to simulate streets conections, I do make a normal road connection, then I delete the road tiles until there is only one left, and I drag a normal street from this single road tile. It does not look bad 2.gif.  I haven tried the system that sim1234 says. Maybe it is a new NAM feature.

    Next update in progres...

    EDIT: I am glad that most of you like the flowers 21.gif !!!

    This is the first time I post here in Simtropia. But I have read it all. And it is great, surely great.
    But this time I simply have to say:
    Wow!!! What a nice harbour!
    I am building one for myself right now. But it isn't nearly as good looking as yours. I envy you a little 5.gif. How do you do that?
    Oh, oh. If I only could use the LotEditor...

    Well, congratulations!

    I loved SCR and I love Simtropia. Thank you for showing us what you did with the Game.
