This would be my first CJ

Let me introduce you to the Metropolis of Aquatica:

Aquatica actually is an area of cities that are grown so large that they became one big metropolis. The Main cities are Atlantica, Paulcity and Aquatic City. In the whole region now live well over 5 milion people. And my goal is to have at least 50 milion

 

I'll start with what i already have:

here's a picture of one of the few industrial zones in my city. As you can see it is close to a highway

50milion?? piiiiii.  I hope your comp is very strong or alce youre gona have some hell of along time to load those citys.

Anyways. this region looks Great and And The HT is very nice to, hope to see some more pics

50 Million?

I prefer realistic cities, but a huge metropolis also intrigues me.

I wish there was a night view option for a region view. It would've looked so awesome.

please keep in mind that this isn't just 1 city but a community of several cities grown so much that they became one agglomeration.

The part viewing here is Paulcity. Just to the left (not showing) is Atlantica and on the other side of the water will be Aquatic City, but i didn't build that yet.

i used to do highways like that but i find some of their usefulness lost

if there are stoplights, try doing the road not all the way through then do an

overpass, that way you wont have to stop through traffic.

50 million ... Jesus my CJ region has way less than 500.000 and SC is quite laggy by now ...

Just some hints: try to use PEG!s industrial CDK in your industrial harbour are. It just looks better - just compare the beach with marrast's set with the blank ones ...!

The little town from your last update looks nice too, lots of sweat lowrise and green.

Just ... at least in Germany it is the characteric of Autobahn (Highway) that you can enter them only over ramps and that they don't have intersections...

the highway stops right before the tunnel. After that there's no highway anymore. The only purpose of it is to bring the people from the town to the main highway that connects Atlantica with Paulcity

This is the West Aquatic Comercial District in Aquatic city. It has the best commute times all over Aquatica but unfortunate they're getting longer:
