So I have started batting again after a long time of being unable to play the game :( (PC ISSUES), Anyway I have done some Industrial Batteries for the purpose of small space consuming power supply that looks good in the industrial setting or rural setting, having some trouble with texture selection and color intensity though. It would also be nice if you professional guys here can help me with my design although Im limited to sketchup I think its still up to the designer to make it look good :D

This is my latest project at the moment the Genzeo Co. Industrial Battery V5 please help me improve :D

I plan this to have a 6000MWh/Month Supply with A monthly cost of $500 as it is low maintenance. The difference from my previous industrial batteries is that this time this one is an Imporved Battery (much like lithium ion), better capacity, better life span and it charges through the solar panels on top of it, so the life span in longer :D It still emits Radiation though its a thing I see essential for this to have a side effect because only solar and geothermal plants are what I can consider totally clean.

Somehow I do think I my design somehow fit SimMars, well at least I can bat for Both worlds :P

Hello, Welcome to the Bat Open Discussion, 1st of all, very nice bat, nerfect for SimMars enviroment, 2nd night lights.

Nightlights in gmax are pretty simple.

1st, to make the light shwo up at night, all you have to do is rename it from omni_01, or spotlight_01, to nitelite_spotlight_01, or nightlight_omni_01, and you are done, your lights should show up at night.

Model is decent, but the textures need serious work.

I'm currently trying to understand the texture saturation, as I understand sketchup materials tend to be too bright, thanks for appreciating the model :D

So after some tweeking of the texture saturation and removing some details Im thinking for making 2 models one 3x1 lot and one 1x1 Lot this is the retextured 1x1 lot I have made. So what do you guys think?

Oh yeah since there is a reduction in the number of batteries im also reducing the power output

The transit enabling is done on the lot, not in the BAT. SC4Tool contains a graphical editor for transit-enabling. What's more important is that you know the correct height for elevated rail tracks (should be around 16 metres, but I'm not sure about the exact value) and that you know how to make a "tunnel" through the LOD of the building so the train doesn't disappear while it goes through the station.

    the lights

Ok, I have something that might help.

    First, you locate this menu:

    helpfordude1.png

Next, you located the light on the little Icon Bar:

    helpfordude.png

Then, you click the light, and have a choice of lights to add to your scene:

    helpfordude2.png

Click the one you want, and add it to wherever you want, then to make it only show up at night, you locate the name bar, and add nitelite_ in front of it like show below:

    helpfordude3.png

Finally, look below the name, to adjust all your light settings to fit your needs:

    helpfordude4.png

Then you successfully have a nightlight in your BAT.

If you have any more questions, just ask :D

Hey, that looks great! Here is the update you need, torrent free :D (I think you have to sign up to SC4D)

huh where's the link? well it's fine I was looking at the forums for the lighting issues and found links to the files I needed :D got it to work and here's the outcome, I also tested it ingame but I think I overdid the lights too much as it kinda stands out with the lighting but really thanks for all the help now I can light up my bats! :D still a long way from the windows stuff, I read I need some plugin for bat for it but for now ill stick it with spots! :D

for now ill probably be uploading this in STEX when I finish tweaking the lights and stats :D,

    Thanks Frex :thumb:
