What is Rush Hour?

Rush Hour was the original expansion pack for SimCity 4. It added a few more things to the game and included some "fixes" to the original. By itself, it could be a little hard to find. You might find it on eBay or such. It was combined to SimCity 4 in the later release of SimCity 4 Deluxe, which is usually easier to get.

Yes, the avenues were added. You might check this out to see the additional content provided by Rush Hour. If you're interested, it is available on Amazon.

SimCity 4 Rush Hour is an expansion pack for SimCity 4. Propably known as other name in some cuntries. You can buy it in a shop or via internet. It's really good to get becouse you can now drive cars, trains etc., you can build avenues and you can see informations about traffic in your city/town. In box versions (or in online versions too) it's availible in SimCity 4 Deluxe edition.

Rush Hour disks are probably as rare as hen's teeth. Your best bet is to acquire SimCity4 deluxe (same meat, different gravy). If you get it from an authorized download site, it comes completely patched and ready to go.

The Simcity Deluxe on Amazon is very expensive I think, at least I bought it for 20 euro (that was in the Netherlands).

You could buy it on ebay for $9,95

Depends on what you consider expensive. If you buy a used game on ebay be sure you get the box and the manual.

I never purchase used software of any kind.

Actually, I got my copy off of Amazon and it works fine! Just look at the seller feedback. Amazon usually doesn't have ripoffs. I stopped using ebay when someone sold a broken DVD player. If you don't want to buy it online, go to a store like Wal-Mart or Target (I live in the U.S. not sure what big box stores are in other countries) and in the computer video games section you can find The Simcity Box. This includes Simcity Societies, Simcity 4, and some other EA games, for just $20.

The only online shopping I've ever done is on trusted sites like Amazon, and I usually buy straight from Amazon themselves. A bit pricier than the 'third party' retailers, but worth the extra buck for the quality guarantee.

I wouldn't bother looking for the Rush Hour expansion, but that's only because I'm a man of consolidation and would much prefer the entire game installed at once over two halves. Still, as has been said, it can be hard to find. Most new versions of SC4 Deluxe are around $10, and as Moose pointed out, try to stay away from used software.

So... it was just dumb luck I got Simcity 4 by itself?46.gif

After all this time, I think that just about sums it up. Your chances of finding the rush hour expansion pack are very slim. If anything, your best bet is to find a cheap copy of deluxe and just install it over top of your existing program.
