Well I dont want to spam this thread 1.gif but now I found my way in school etc I found some tome to try and finaly get that thing done 3.gif Tonight I'm going to give it a shot.

I have been out for a while because I'm going to trying to do my 4yrs of college in 2. I had to take care of some things for school and my dad had some surgery (all fine now, so no complications), so its been a busy time lately. I dont have time to work on something big like that stadiums (ill finish the tennis one, but wont start a new one) but I'll see after I've finished the ones I started what I can do.

Now first lets catch up with the forum again and see what has been up out here 35.gif

    In a state of hibernation......

School is really busy... I thought I'd have some time to do some work on the Jungerhans Tower, but after almost completing it till texturing, my F&*&^ng HDD crashed :@ :@ :@ :@

So the stadiums are the same stage as the pics show in the post before. Im having a little relaxing time now, but my bankaccount also needs a little work 2.gif

So I hope in between the symptomes of RLS I can find some time.

    Fellow citizens:

It has been a long time I was out of town. I really hope to plan in some Batting time again soon. I still have a major pile work for school, but I dropped a big time consumer out of my agenda (cycling). As far as playing concerns, I have planned some playing time for school 1.gif I teach a class in my current training period. I'm building a region for them to play with (they're discussing city planning and some other city related subjects. So what better to use then simcity to make them try things out?? 1.gif I'm going to search the DVD's for my Bat backups, and the forum for some material to fress things up a bit 1.gif I have a new version of 3ds I have to start up. First is to try out if thats compatible with the tool made. I hope you missed me, at least my work 2.gif

Hope to let you more soon again, and this time, for a longer period :$.

A small note. To get a feeling with the tool again, I started with a small house (the one left of passage)

    250px-Huizenvughterstraatdenbosch.jpg

( http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/nl/thumb/f/f4/Huizenvughterstraatdenbosch.jpg/791px-Huizenvughterstraatdenbosch.jpg  for a larger version of it)

Only I now I have a small problem. The extruding of my lines (outer wall) worked, only with this deffect 47.gif:
     prob.jpg

I can just cut them out and put a box instead (its a little bit behind what the openings will fill, so that could be a way, but to avoid texturing problems I would try and keep the wall in a whole (it is the same texture, and the fillings won't be). 34.gif

If you still understand what I'm trying to say, here's my obvious question: How can I make that black just under the arc go away??? 42.gif

And besides that: Merry Christmas to Simtropolis!!! 1.gif

    [Edit :]

An addition to the above. What I was affraid of is also the case with the extusion of the arcs above :

    Arcprob.jpg

These I can't delete, So If anybody knows How I could solve this. I tried put a texture on it, but the black stripes stay put 22.gif.

    Grtz.

Those problems are caused by a smoothing group error.

You probably have a zigzag in your spline. If you do, try to fix it.

Also, try a Smooth modifier with Auto Smooth checked.

    Thanx Ardecila!

I used your input and its solved 44.gif. First I was like, yeah right, where is the zig, zag then? but when I turnte to the top view, it was pretty obvious 44.gif. I should have looked there too instead of just in the front viewport when I made the arcs fit with the rotation tool. 37.gif

I also remodeled it a bit. I made the 1st floor half a meter taller, so the 2nd is half a meter shorter. Now the arcs and windows look a bit more natural instead of all streched out.

It looks like spamming, but nobody posted, so it's not intentional 15.gif

I had some finals the last weeks, so I haven't been working on it. Today I had the time again, and this is the result 31.gif:

    <img align=baseline>

Don't mind the coloring, I haven't textured it.
