I see a texture deformation on the left of the wall, I wonder what caused that. But the model looks very nice so far.

is it just me or you made a box and apply a texture with all details on it to the box?

Uh no i just imported a google sketchup model in 3DS Format and used the textures that came with the export from google sketchup.

Well those are still insufficient. Essentially you are texturing a box. It is a fancy box, but a box none the less.

In order for your models to look even remotely realistic in game, you will need to model the walls, windows, facade details, and so on, NOT simply texture them onto a box. Check out the omnibus for tutorials on modeling, it will help you get a better idea of what you need to do.

I had been quietly following this thread but I was expecting something like this...listen to what SimHotToddy said and don't forget to show your progress using the rendered preview option, viewport snapshots are not very good at showing how truly the model will look in game, textures for example can look completely different.

My second advice since it looks like you don't have much modeling experience it will be better to start with something a bit more simple and small, then as you progress you can move to more complex things.

Looking forward to see more from you.

It's a nice model, but sketchup models don't play nice with gmax. If you must use sketchup, use it on a very small scale, otherwise I'd say learn to model in gmax, you'll be much happier with the result in the end.

I see you learned how to copy from google warehouse. You cant put any of theese models on the STEX becuse you didnt make any of them. Re-texturing someone elses model is still plagiarism unless you have permission form the person that made the model. It would be lake taking a bike re-painting it then saying it was yours. Even though its repainted its still their bike.

I follow what Todd said. I would also advice you one thing. dont try to tune this bat up, because you will always find your self trapped for the box and its textures. I advice you to start from the start, on gmax, from the very beginning. there are some tutorials (even the BAT has one it self) to show you how to model your buildings. take a lookt at them, and start playing arround with those new skills, eventually u will fell comfortable to do high-rises, which in my opinion are some of the hardest BAT's to pull right. specially if glassed. You are on the good track, and we are here to help you out ;)
