[NEXL] Network Expansion XL

What is the NEXL:

The Network Expansion XL is a new kind of mod, that will improve and add functional networks in CitiesXL. There's nothing official yet, but this mod will probably feature trains, ships, airplanes and other small networks.

We're going to post pictures of the development here. This post will be update from time to time with the latest news.

There are similar threads at other forums too - use the one you like the most to ask things

Who's behind:

Behind this project there's a team that will grow over the time, if other modders are interested to join. At the moment there are four members:

* Pharmist

NEXL sounds so inspiring! I can't wait when NEXL officially releases, but CXL2012 is upcoming soon - once when we all upgrade to CXL2012, all of our CXL2011 mods and files will be lost?

What Mr.D said, and conversion to bridges, overpass, etc. etc. yeah that can be annoying when your very limited in options.

Also rural highways would be great. And tunnels that go under the water.. you know... the one with the red and green lights, and that time your car's radio goes off.

I am crying. In a happiest way possible.

I will DEFINATELY download the tram package, and I've always been waiting for the trams for CXL2011. I noticed that one of your tram pic, on your recent post, I'll definately use the green grass road with tram on it, it will raise the realism for the cities.

Looks like I will need to adapt my city to suit the trams soon

Fantastic work so far guys. Would be great to leverage that tram track development to create closer double rails on metro tracks. I hate how far apart the tracks are by default. The airplane paths is freakin' sweet!

I am so glad I chose to buy CXL 2012 today. I just knew that the smart people on Simtropolis would have something awesome ready to go. Reminds me of the early days of Simcity 4, when everything was new and fresh.
