Hey PDA readers and members!
Im a new post'er on Simtropolis..I guess this is my first ever post on simtropolis, but I've been reading for quite a bit of time now. I just have to compliment all the staff at PDA for the most amazing building and architectural designs ever made! If any of you are looking for ideas, I was wondering if you could consider the Trump Building planned to be built in Toronto. You can see a few images if you search Trump Toronto on google.com and then go to the emporis link for Trump Tower Toronto. It's truly a spectacular work of art and since I have no artistic ability to reproduce this building on SC4, I was wondering if you guys could give it a try.

Hola! I know it's been two minutes shy of forever since I've been in the forums. But, unfortunately, summer semester is absolutely handing me an ass-beating. Even if I wasn't swamped with homework, the last thing I would want to do after starting at CAD for 5 hours a day would be come home and stare at gmax for another five. So, it's sure looking like nothing's going to be happening for the next 5 weeks with any of my work 7.gif

That's when summer session ends and I'll have a month between then and the beginning of Fall semester. At any rate... we might be looking for some more people to do the same job as Jes does (lighting, roof junk, file packaging, general detailing) since he is working on a lot of his own stuff these days.

So, anyone interested in the project, show me what you can do at geoff@72north.com.

    Take care everyone!!

Nah, its prolly just an economical slump.  Hopefully, others can fill this void while he is away.   Anyway, it would be great if someone would volunteer to fill his spot...

The real world has an amazing way of jumping up and biting you on the bottom when you least want or expect it, thus is life. Geoff has his priorities straight and I am sure when school permits he will grace us with his presence and his new creations, patience gentlemen please. In the mean time I am sure Dusk will be able to take up some of the slack, his latest creations are showing great potential.44.gif

As an aside... there's pleanty of PDA buildings that no longer need my hands on them if Jes wants to finish them while I'm m.i.a.

Hi Guys... First off... Great job on all your buildings PDA. Lovely job.

My only problem is with the Clark Tower. It works nicely when plopped, but it doesn't grow for me for some reason. Take a look at the 2 pics hosted off site...

    Any ideas? 42.gif

this is really strange, the clark tower shouln't even be growing on a lot that big, that looks like a 4x4, and we only provided 4x2 and 4x3 growables. this hasn't happend to me, so i have no idea what is wrong. try what iamrobk suggested, i hope this solves this issue.

Thanks for your response. I re-downloaded the Clark and demolished the old buildings and this still exists. 7.gif

Anyone know what would cause a building to grow on too big of a lot??

I must say your buildings are beautiful. But one thing i noticed.. Is your bases are really lacking.. its just a big building on the 1x1square plazas... I dont know about your city but Here invancouver its a very fresh city, tunz of highrises are on their way up possibly because we have scored the 2010 o;ympics.. anyways our city is very moden and all of the new basses surrounding the buildings are beautiful. their own unique little fountans connected to the buildings and stairs down ect... i dunno.....

    good job anyways...

Any news? In the Trump Tower Toronto thread, you guys claimed that PDA was reforming. (BTW, it would be nice to see the Sapphire Tower in Arcturus' skyline... ahem... cough... hack...)

    Thanks for such a contribution!

thank n7! PDA hit the skids? more like PDA hit the sky! i forgot to mention that this will be the tallest building on ST when this is released.

masher, you don't like the spire? i kinda like it, i'll see what other people say, if most people don't like it, i'll be willing to remove it. and i did use some of the same glass textures from my harbour plaza, very good eye masher 2.gif

if the glass textures are too similair or too light, i'll be willing to change them too.

I like the antenna. It's realistic for such a tall building to have one anyway, the majority of supertalls have antennae. I really like the design. It reminds me of that proposal from Philadelphia from a few years back, but I can't remember the name.....? Oh well, it's fantastic. 44.gif
