Construction of the rail line


The planning state is over. The local council agreed over a trace for the new rail that is going to pass the ground of the village. Unfortunately some houses have to be bulldozed, some people are very angry. But it is believed by the majority that the best compromise has been found.

And construction allready has begun.

Some trees had to be cut as well:



This bridge is nearly finished:



Another bridge that has to be build:



And the one at the other side of the village is half finished, too:



This is the main construction site where the station will be build:



And here you can see how the whole town is full of ongoing work:



The former restfull peace is gone. But hopefully soon the rail line will be completed. And many citizens are waiting eagerly for the first train to arrive at the local station.

But that will be part of the next update. So - stay tuned.

They aren't rail to el rail connections. They are on-slope rail puzzle pieces and are part of the NAM. The track textures are different than the elevated rail tracks.

The completion of the western part of the rail line


Do you remember this newly remodeled high tech park?



Well, the construction of the railway caused it to be remodeled yet again.
This is what it looked like just after the railway was build:



And like this it is looking as of now:



Now we will see the new tracks, entering the village from the west.

The eastern part of the new local rail line isn't finished yet. Work is in progress. So - stay tuned.

You know, I think the UK BATters should make some cool stone railway viaducts... especially like those big ones they have in Scotland. That would be a bit more realistic for your UK rail where the railway track goes over roads. They usually have sidings at least, with advertising boards on them.

Very cool stuff, and very lovely landscaping and terrascaping. Curious where you got those smaller shrubs and bushes from. Are they plant-able and drop-able in God mode?

Yes you are right, it would be great to have viaducts. But I suppose that would be hard to make.
About the bushes:
I use jeronij's Plopable Maxis props and Andreas Roth's Mayor Mode Tree Mod .

The eastern part of the new rail line
