for now i have stopped BATing in favor of my CJ..

i have nearly no spear time to do things i like (except for an update)

though i BAT for my CJ when i can.

*NOTE- these BATs i am making will be released after they will be user in the CJ

so don't expect it to be high class or something.

the people in the ST chat made me do this -.-

    1pre5.jpg

how can i make this BAT better?

    options anyone?

I like how you made the yellow texture look dirty however it could look even better if reduce the saturation, just check how it looks in game. What I don't like about your model is that it feels to me as if it was made out of blocks, almost like Lego, I am also wondering where is the door? I am also not so sure if the roof junk goes well with the building. How thick are the walls?

thats because they are build from blocks. the door is behind though i didnt BAT it yet,

    the walls are 0.6m

here is an example for block like building.

and the roof just is ... i dont know really, but there is no real roof junk on it.

I can see most of your BATs being suited for Middle-Eastern cities. You really should work on your previous works because they are just juicy.

Kakado is not that what I meant but rather how you go on at modeling things and texture them, however, the buildings you are showing me have virtually nothing to do with the one you modelling other than being small apartment complexes...

    i need help .. again ..

well it was a lot of time since i have been here and i am very busy latley, so i have an 8 day holiday so i'll use it.

anyways, i know i am starting a new BAT every 5 hours, but i keep telling myself that this (see below) will be released.

    so .. any improvement?

this BAT is ment to reduce the CS$ demand. because there is just too much.

my problem is that i dont know what type of roof junk should be here.

i just watched some office in Warsaw and saw what i can do for the meanwhile..

I think this looks so much better I like it very much.

    Things to improve:

The access to the roof looks a bit squashed and the parapet looks really weird the walls too think and with no depth makes you wonder why there is a parapet at all.Actually in general the walls look a bit too think to me.

The roof junk look like gray boxes and nothing else try to define what they are (make sure to make them at scale too). The antenna is nice but seems a bit short to me...

The base seems a bit off-center which gives that makes it llok weird in respect to the rest of the building.

Looks good, I think on top of the roof access the roof texture looks to be repeating. If you want to look for roof junk just google it, like roof HVAC and roof air vents, ect...

Aaron: i tried to copy a roof HVAC .. i dont know how it went o.O

    Sky241: thank you :)

well... there are other sides of the BAT as well ..

i changed the roof junk to this roof HVAC thing .. i don't know if it works. should i just leave the roof completely empty?

    batpro2.jpg

*note - ignore the panel in the north render at the bottom right corner i fixed it

btw.. i started working on another BAT for my CJ because i am starting to use the same buildings for all of my cities and it gets annoying, but for now lets focus on the other BAT above ^ .

well you can move that HVAC unit toward the center and also move the antenna, you can add pipes and cables and that would be enough I guess. Also it looks incompatible to have a white top edge on the parapets while you have marks of running grim on the side you should be consistent.

i was a bit busy lately so don't yell at me :3

anyways... i made the antenna higher, and fixed the roof exit

    batpro3.jpg

i also moved the HAVC a bit more far from the roof. is that it?

Looks Pretty good, I would add alittle grime and dirt to it to match the wall on the building, I would move it alittle closer to the midlle, but not by much, looks almost perfect where it is, great work, I will most likely use it in my cities :D

I don't believe those were supposed to be HVAC units. ;) Todd could tell you more about those, however. That building he made is also residential, there is a difference between adding details from residentials and commercial buildings, if you catch my meaning.

This new building seems right on track, though as our friend Gn_leugim said the textures are indeed over saturated(giving a rather odd cartoonish appearance. Saturation is editable in image editing programs, and even through the BAT program itself if you're meticulous enough.

Over all, I think you're doing a good job.
