Change zone type - how?

I created a housing zone for unskilled workers. How do I change this to  a zone for skilled workers?

Using the bulldozers only deletes any structures on that zone, it does not reset the zone type..

Thanks!

I am not certain what your asking here.....

When you bulldoze a "building" you also destory the zone. You can select new zones if you want to rebuild. You cannot "change" Unskilled to Skilled without first bulldozing what you already have in place.

I created an unskilled zone by mistake. Some residents moved in.

I want to get rid of that unskilled zone and use the exact same land area to create a zone for skilled workers.

However when I try to create a zone for skilled workers, the interface complains the zone is already occupied. Even after bulldozing and getting rid of the buildings, if I click on the land it shows it is still zoned for unskilled workers.

How do I "reset" this area such that I can create skilled workers residences on it?

Yeah I guess thats the question. How do I "delete the zone"? Bulldozing seems to leave the land marked as the old zone type.

"Delete" on the keyboard only removes structure. You have to press one more to delete the entire zoning after the structure is cleared.

You can also use the "Bulldozer" button in the menu to remove the structure and zoning.

you have to go to bulldozer and delete that area that is occupied, you can't reset the zone itself. Step 1. Delete desired zone 2. Re-build with zone of choice 3. Watch and be amazed

if you click on it and hit delete, you only open up the lot, not remove it. you have to hit delete on the vacant lot to remove it.

use the big bulldozer tool to delete. If you haven't learned yet, the bulldozer tool and making bigger roads is the only way to make money.
