That's a beautiful tower! Is it a hotel? And those glass textures are amazing. You've even put a lot of detail into the main entrance! Very glassy and nice interior. I also LOVE the roof. That staircase is a great concept, however what if it rains? lol Will you be adding cover for that staircase?

For this latest creation I would humbly suggest to darken down window glass - now it has an effect of almost glowing/being radioactive, Thinning of the black lattice (as well as brighting it up a notch and may be giving it some reflectivity, perhaps just a FG only one)

While doing so you may also try to push Anti-Aliasing filter a bit higher, to keep those finer linear details safe from degradation. So in stead of default 1 and 16 use 4 and 64.

And the last thing is a dome. It is too polished and even. It could never be this way in real world. So reduce glossiness of the material and introduce some slight bump. But with the bump remember to use alternate maps for each segment in a check pattern to avoid distortions "flow" form one segment(sheet of metal) to another.

well you lattice rhythm is wrong it should be one narrow-two wide-one narrow, not one narrow, one wide. (precisely it is: n-w-w-n-w-w-n-w-w-n). Also tower doesn't really have sticking out lattice at all.It is basically gaps/seams between glass panels, So it really should be flash with the surface. Also material at the moment doesn't look like glass. Also you're missing dark "frame" in the central part of the tower.

    Roof.

Well apart from those odd corners sticking out I think you've got the very top part wrong... Somehow 4 cornered design had turned into what appear to be three cornered one, and thickness of the "petal" should remain the same. Also antennae proportions are totally out of whack.

So, you see there is a quite a long way from making something generally recognizable to actually trying to re-create. Of course, in the end you would need to make some choices - there is no way no need to make 1005 duplicate for SC4. However those should be conscious simplifications and omitions of insignificant details. None of those I've mentioned are such - they are either key expressive elements of this, to be frank, monstrosity, or simply signs of sloppy job.

I would also recommend to you to break free from bad bating clich

That is looking fantastic my friend! Great job! 9.gif

You should start a Dubai Bat Team! I would certainly join, and I'm sure others would too! I have many poor gmax exported BATs from Dubai. It would be awesome to get some of them out there!

Even if the Dubai Bat Team were temporary.. if it were even downtown based project, It would still become something! 9.gif

ps; A bit too reflective with the glass (in my opinion anyways 4.gif

We, stardust, are the oddest observers of self (a.k.a. the universe).

I'm just a group of atoms typing this.

    What do I know?

The model for the Rose Tower is solid, but the glass texture seems much to busy, tone it down a bit so that it looks more realistic. Your new BAT is obviously a WIP, but I'm not a fan of the glass texture at all, especially on the base of the building.

is this a re-creation or you own design? I just can't shake of feeling that something is amiss here. Shapes just don't come together, look accidental and overly primitive. Simple is good, but simplistic is not. The curve at the corner of the base, the position of the tower on it, the joint are all wrong in my mind. If it is a re-creation then take another look at the original may be you-re missing some key element, whacked some proportions. If it is your own design may be you could address those points on your own terms...

Apart from that there are couple of general modeling points I would like to re-iterate.

    1. your lattice - it is always too, way too, prominent. It really overpowers the whole thing particularly when the color is such a dull gray.

2.your reflections. To get something more realistic you should try to apply at least 2 glass materials (in a check pattern) identical in every term but the noise used in bump. It could be same noise (in terms of size and all other settings) but with different Phase value - this would prevent visual "flow" of distortion from one glass panel to another. Also make sure the size of the noise is big enough (something along the line of 2,5-3-4m) so the you glass don't look like a rippled glass/pond.

Apart form that remember that most materials reflectivity is viewing angle dependent - your glass should be more reflective on the sides of the building than it is on the front wall. And check your reflection map - you do have quite unsightly seam right in the middle of the side wall of your tower.

Hello everyone, I have created a new model. Models in Bangkok, Thailand, I did not tune to a corner spot. I bring this progress to see each other again.

Nice buildings, it looks like you don't need much help except the parts which come to light that need help. If you can't understand english use a translator(translator.google.com)

Is that an expert opinion? Sorry to disagree, I mean there is probably very little advice you and me can give him, as we are both quite un-experienced batters, but I am sure there is a few people out there that may have something to say. So in this case the best advice you can probably give is none. Sorry if I sound harsh but is my honest opinion.

Just one small request, can you make a low rise slum if you can? We need ALOT of those because we're lacking so much of those.

I hope to see this BAT finished, it looks amazing!
