It surely will. This is a quiet good system.

Also when I think that 2GB DDR2 are a bit to small for playing on high settings.

I say it will. The C2D is nothing to shake a stick at. However, I would upgrade your RAM to 4 gigabytes. Win7 at boot up uses about 900 meg of RAM leaving only about a gig for games. RAM is quite cheap now.

    Nice rig!

You need atleast the same min specs as for the 2009 game

Yes your computer will run CXL 2011. Your GFX card will chew it like tissue paper, your C2D will battle it like a Tank vs Car and your memory will battle it like a swamp buggy.

As said previously, your memory could use an upgrade to 4GB but its nothing to worry about right away. Now with 4GB of memory, Win7 Pro 32bit will not use all 4GB, it will use 3.25-3.5GB; this is a 32-bit memory addressing issue and not an issue with your computer.

A work-around is to install a 64bit version of Windows. 64bit will enable you to use 4GB+ memory with no problem.

Thanks guys for all your positive input. I cant wait to play Cities XL 2011. I bought the old game, and i was extremely pleased to see that they offered a 50% off the retail price of the new one. After buying the old (beta) unfinished 2009 version, which i was VERY unhappy with.

Okay so i had asked if my PC would run the game with my current machine and from the answers i thought id have no problems. But something happened...

When i started building my city ( with graphics set to high/ultra ) everything was going very smoothly. When my city got really big and i had reached about 2 million citizens the game suddenly crashed and now every time i try to get back into my city the game crashes. Now i had 2GB of Crucial Ballistix DDR2 800 memory and yesterday i ordered 2 more gigs of memory and an Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 Yorkfield 2.83Ghz 12mb L2 cache ( upgrade from an Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 3.2Ghz 3mb L2 cache ).

So now my Specs will be -

    Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.93Ghz 12MB cache- CPU

    XFX 680i SLi LT- Motherboard

4GB Crucial Ballistix DDR2 800 Dual Channel- Memory

2x BFG Tech Geforce 260 GTX 896mb OC 55nm MAXcore Editions- Videocard

600GB WD Velociraptor 32mb Cache 10,000rpm- Hard Drive.

    800 Watt Ultra- PSU

    Old Specs-

    Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 3.2 Ghz 1066FSB 3MB cache

    XFX 680i SLi LT

2GB Crucial Ballistix DDR2-800 Dual Channel

2x BFG Tech Geforce 260 GTX 896mb OC Edition 55nm Maxcore Ed. on SLi

    WD Velociraptor 600GB 10,000rpm HD 32mb Cache

    800 Watt Ultra PSU

Will THIS be enough to run the game now? I just cant figure out how their recommended specs would work for ANYONE that wants to play this on high/ultra settings and build massive cities...

P.S - I also bought Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit Edition so that i get full use of ALL 4gigs of memory.

That sounds like the typical memory leak crash... the 4GB upgrade should help...

Mine runs CXL11 just fine, just need to go back to globe every 2-3 hours to get the speed back up.

    Intel E6600 dual core 2.4GHz

    4GB DDR2-1066

    nvidia 512MB 9800GT

WinXP and Vista x64 (but soon to swap it all to Win7)

    320GB Seagate 7200.11  - XP main drive

120GB WD 7200RPM server drive - Vista main drive

    Creative X-Fi sound

    Gigabyte GAEP35-DS3R board

Game runs at 1440x900 on my 19" widescren LCD.
