Demand Caps

Hello,

I've noticed that with a lot of Recreational Buildings and Rewards that there is a range listed. My question is does this apply to both the Desirability AND Demand Cap Relief?

Basically does one building that provides 100k relief for Residential apply across the city or just in it's own area of effect?

Thank you so much in helping me figure this game out! It's so vague sometimes!

Across the entire city. And if you have neighbors, the entire region. 1.gif

Wow, seriously? So basically as long as you have a few cities up you really never have to worry about capping then it seems?

On the other hand, since it's spread does that mean you have to count your region population towards the capping? That would be complicated to go into each city and add up various populations to get a total for each category...

You know what's a good way to work it out is CAM. With CAM you can get Regional Capacity data and current population.

CAM is an independent mod having nothing to do with getting regional capacity data or population data. I think you may be confusing it with the Census Repository report mod

Really, over the whole region? Does that also apply for C and I demand caps? Does that mean you can basically fill a city tile with large plazas, connect it, and never have to worry about demand caps again in the entire region?

I thought that city caps acted independent of each other, and that they share demand?

Hold on, parks relieve the demand caps? Any idea how much? Are there any other buildings that do that?

Lots of buildings relieve caps. The more expensive the park is the more it relieves

Here's one for ya'll: Although the advisors will annoy you to put plazas in commercial districts, and although they provide commercial DESIRABILITY, they actually relieve residential caps. More info like this can be found HERE.
