    (I tried to make a video... but Encoder doesn't record CitiesXL, all I get is a black screen...)

    So, some pictures (quality may be different from what you'll play, since I use my nearly-updated high graphic settings mod):

    Interface:

    black: tourists feedback... there are many baloons around, where tourists really "talk" to you about your domain. They're also collected in a window.

    red: more happy people = more reputation... here you got an achievement system too, there are suggestions to improve your domain and gradually add features. I've reached (in the picture) the second level...

    More on the ski slopes building tools later (or tomorrow).

    @Oliver: yes, that's an offshore platform... I doubt I'll unlock that in the final release, it's useless...

    Just a question: Aren't there chairs riding on the chairlift?

    a pfb here??? and we are only at page 6?!

    Only the skilift is animated... so, no chairs.

    However I think it's just a layout problem, actor files should be ready somewhere!

    Hi Globexco,

    I'm very new to all these mods. I downloaded your V3 mod, install it, run the game. I got everything appear nicely in the menu, and they are accessible (well for most of them). However, the problems I have are:

    - whenever I want to place a train track, I click it on the menu, but when I drag it on the ground to place it, the game crashed.

    - my train cars appear nicely on the menu, but when I placed them, they appear as transpparent boxes of grass on the ground. I can delete them though.

    So do you have any idea how to fix these? Thanks heaps!

    Are you using 2009 or 2011? I suspect 2009, as last time I checked 2011 crashed with it. Don't use train tracks anyway, they are useless at this stage(only act as normal roads with cars), wait until it is more complete.

    Yes, I have the 2009 version.

    Can I ask how people played them with no problems? Obviously they did so they could take pictures and post them up here. I really want those tracks (and trains of course) in my city though. Looks so real and very nice!!!!

    Graphic bugs like this are usually linked to your graphic card drivers...

    Are you playing with low graphic settings?

    trains and tracks however are not very stable... 

    EDIT: yes... C06alt discovered the way to mod menus in 2011...

    So Unlocker v4 will happen!

    Graphic bugs like this are usually linked to your graphic card drivers...

    Are you playing with low graphic settings?

    trains and tracks however are not very stable... 

    EDIT: yes... C06alt discovered the way to mod menus in 2011...

    My graphic card is GeForce 8800GT 1GB GDDR3. I have the latest driver for it (except recent drivers nVidia releases specifically for GTX 400 series, as these drivers are not compatible with my 8800GT I think, I keep getting errors trying installing them).

    I play the game with highest settings though, even with the Max Enhanced Graphic Details mod or whatever it is from the Mod Index, and at resolution 1680x1050. So are you saying that playing at low settings can make the train tracks accessible without crashing the game?

    When do you say the V4 for 2009 version will be available? Or is it only for 2011 version, as you stated in the above post ("a way to mod menu in 2011")?

    V4 will be only for 2011...

    Well, I don't really know why your game crashes! Try to submit here the log (go to C:/Users/yourname/AppData/Local/Monte Cristo/CitiesXL/log and find the latest .log file created after a crash with tracks... then post the log file here, by attaching it or posting the last lines)...

    yes I do, like No pollution, Lots of Water, etc. So are you saying they might cause the crash?

    Tram mod? Not that I remember.

    Anyway, what I got is your V3 mod plus any mods that I was interested in on the Mod Index. So I downloaded whatever mod I liked, then installed them altogether (not sure on order of installing though). There is no where discussing compatibility amongs the mods (when I downloaded a mod, there was usually a sentence saying Works with other mods, including....) so I just simply installed them together!

    The sentence "Compatible with all other mods" is often just a standard sentence without any meaning.

    Nearly every modder use it, maybe also because it is a part of the CXS modding threads schedule. Most times it isn't really approved.

    Anyway, you should try to remoe all mods except the unlocker than you can see whether or not this is the problem.
