Hey guys, I was wondering how do you connect your rural highway in both directions to a neighboring city?

on the borders you can connect it with an avenue so that the lanes go both ways... or you could use a freeway

there are a few other options and im sure someone will enlighten you further,... until then try the avenues and highways by maxis

That I discovered, but when I tried connecting more than 2 lane rural highways each way, they would not properly connect.

Use the neighbor connection peices provided by the NAM team...They should come with the RHW download (but I'm not completely sure they are in the same download). Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, it comes with the download.  They can be found in the Highway Menu; they have their own icon.  Copied form the support thread:

Place the appropriate Neighbor Connector network piece over top of your RHW where the neighbor connector arrows appear at the edge of your city tile, and then connect all RHW carriageways with the "Underground Loop" pieces (the little blue arrows with the "N" in the middle).

There is also a patch if you DLed the RHW before May 16, 2010.  It can be found at the end of this sticky post in the support thread.  You must be logged in to see it.
