Firstly, Welcome to page 4! It's great to see your BAT thread reach more and more pages, so well done!

I like the look of the retail buildings you have planned, they will go very well in out of town spaces! Are the stores that Gary Regge suggested the occupiers for these buildings? I might suggest Carpet Right or something like that, it's getting a bit worrying that the Simworld dosn't have any floor covering shops!

Thats a relief! I was getting rather worried! The units look a good size and I love the curved roof, looks just like the retail park buildings that you see these days!

No picture updates, but I'll be uploading a pack of four units to the STEX this evening.  The pack consists of PC World, Comet, Halfords and (to set wallasey's mind at rest about the floor coverings in sims' houses)  Allied Carpets

i am finding it hard to build some of those great shops rp2005 i am zoneing them 2x3 med des commersial and have tryed 2x4 and 3x2 commercial but still no muck whats the best way to build some?

The retail units are low density.  In testing I've found that the 2x4 ones grow much easier than the 2x3 as they have less competition from other lots.

Try zoning low density 2x4 using the CTRL key and you should have more luck.

RP, I must commend you for the great retail park BATs that you have created, I have been able to create a stategic gateway into a city with a line of these shops!

Hi Rp2005 got any more great uk bats planed? i think there are lack of uk super markets on this game like there is no asda or waitrose or Morrisons it would be great if you could make 1 or 2 of these oh yes.

I've just finished another High Street BAT that was previewed a while ago ... this 60s style HSBC branch is now on the STEX

That's the last commercial for a while, so no supermarkets yet.  I'll post a preview of my next building in the next day or two.

It's a growable - I only do a ploppable for a building in the RCI categories if it needs to be unique in a city (like the Funland Arcade).

Here's the latest on Keighley fire station and a new BAT I've started based on a building in Bradford.  This is the corner building of three for a w2w set (the buildings are a mix of shops and offices, so I'll probably release it on lots in both categories).

I'm working on detailing the fire station at the moment and expect to get it released this week.  The Bradford building will take longer as the style is a bit of departure for me and there's two more buildings to complete the corner set.

Here's the latest on the fire station.  I've added a drill tower (incomplete) and got it to the stage where I can plop it in game.

Because of the way the game brightens everything I'm going to have to dull down the wall colour and increase the contrast on the lines defining the panels.  Other than that, the drill tower needs completing, the main station building needs more detailing and the lot needs some extra bits adding to it. 

 

However, despite all that I'm still expecting to release this before xmas.
